1 Decree N ° 467 the Legislative Assembly of the Republic of EL SALVADOR, considering: (I).-in accordance with rule 131, 22 ° ordinal of the Constitution of the Republic, is Faculty of this organ of State grant to individuals or populations, titles, honorary distinctions and gratuities consistent with the form of Government established by relevant services to the homeland.
II.-that article 6, literal c) honorary distinctions, rewards and titles Act, establishes that the honorary distinctions of remarkable and distinguished or accomplished, in their order of importance, may be granted to Salvadoran people and foreign residents, when services or contributions that have been given to the homeland, is related to the dissemination and use of science art, culture, education and sport or any other form of altruistic or collective service; such a way that represents an undeniable benefit for the Salvadoran Government or its inhabitants.
III.-that the citizen Guillermo Francisco Perdomo Medrano, born on February 14, 1970, in Santa Tecla, La Libertad, from a young age he has stood by his skills in art, specifically in the branch of sculpture, demonstrating his artistic ability and solidifying the beauty in his sculptures.
IV.-that it is important to highlight the valuable cultural contribution that the artist Guillermo Francisco Perdomo Medrano, has provided the Salvadoran people through his sculptures throughout his career, which has earned him the recognition of his colleagues and have been selected in the year 1999, as one of nine sculptors of the 20th century, in the book El Salvador sculpture.
V under the aforementioned merits, it is coming to give the honorable distinction of "distinguished sculptor of El Salvador", the artist Guillermo Francisco Perdomo Medrano, in recognition of his outstanding career in the field of sculpture, developing an exceptional work that puts on high the name of El Salvador.
Therefore, in use of his constitutional powers and at the initiative of the deputies and members: José Roberto d´Aubuisson Munguia, Margarita Escobar and Mariella penalty Pinto; and the legislature 2009-2012 Deputy Federico Guillermo Avila Quehl.
Decree: Article 1.-declare the artist Guillermo Francisco Perdomo Medrano, "distinguished SCULPTOR of EL SALVADOR", in recognition of his outstanding career in the field of sculpture, developing an exceptional work that puts on high the name of El Salvador.

2 article 2.-this Decree shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the official journal.
