THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE SALVADOR,

CONSIDERING:

I.- That by Legislative Decree No. 851, dated 22 September 2011 and published in the Official Journal No. 194, Volume No. 393, dated 18 October of the same year, was established on the second Saturday of October of each year, as “National Day of Sport, Recreation and Physical Education”.

II.- Since the entry into force of Legislative Decree No. 851, this Legislative Assembly has awarded diplomas of recognition for the achievements of all athletes who have stood out during their participation in the various national and international competencies during the current year.

III.- In this regard and for the reasons stated, we consider it necessary to reform the aforementioned Legislative Decree No. 851, to establish by law, that the Legislative Assembly grant diplomas of recognition for athletes, for the achievements of the National Day of Sport, Recreation and Physical Education.

Describe the following:

Reform to Legislative Decree No. 851, dated 22 September 2011 and published in Official Gazette No. 194, Volume No. 393, of 18 October 2011

Article 1.- Insert a second subparagraph to Art. 3 like this:

The Legislative Assembly shall grant in the framework of the National Day of Sport, Recreation and Physical Education, diplomas of recognition for the achievements of all athletes who, having participated in national and international competencies during the current year, have stood out individually or collectively.

Article 2.- This Decree shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
