THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE SALVADOR,

CONSIDERING:

I.- That the Casino of San Miguel, of the Department of San Miguel, is an apolitical, non-profit, or religious entity, whose objectives are to cultivate and promote good relations among its members and to provide them with social, cultural, educational and sporting distractions, among others.

II.- That in the framework of the celebration of its patronal feasts dedicated to the Virgin of Peace, will carry out the realization of the “Feast of Carnival”, to be held on November 30 of this year.

III.- In accordance with the powers conferred upon this Legislative Assembly by Art. 131 of the Constitution of the Republic, and in order to contribute to the success of that event, it is appropriate to exempt from the payment of taxes, including the municipal ones, which may cause such activity.

in the use of their constitutional powers and at the initiative of the Deputies Mariela Peña Pinto, Lucía del Carmen Ayala de León and José Edgar Escolán Batarse.

RIGHT:

Art. 1.- Exonerate the payment of taxes, including the municipal ones, except for the Tax on the Transfer of Furniture Goods and the Servicing (IVA), which may cause the realization of the “Carnival Festival”, to be held on November 30 of this year, in favor of the Casino of San Miguel, of the Department of San Miguel.

The waiver granted is without prejudice to the monitoring and control to be exercised by the respective tax agencies. In addition, the representatives of the Casino de San Miguel must submit to this Assembly within 45 days of the event, a report duly signed and sealed by a responsible auditor, on the income obtained and the distribution of the same.

Art. 2.- This Decree shall enter into force from the day of its publication in the Official Gazette.
