DECRETO N° 606

THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE SALVADOR,

CONSIDERING:

I.- That the existing delimitation between the municipalities that comprise the Department of Ahuachapán does not conform to the present development of technology in the field of registration and territorial measurement; nor to the existing circumstances of social and economic development in the country.

II.- That with the recording technology and the photogrametric models currently available by the National Registry Centre; it is possible to carry out a precise delimitation and demarcation of those limits.

III.- That a process of dialogue has been developed between the municipalities involved with the assistance of the National Registry Centre and the Geographical Institute and the National Catastro, thus arriving to the elaboration and signature of the Act of Municipal Limit ATIQUIZAYA – SAN LORENZO with reference No. 0103 - 0109, which is taken as the basis for the content of this decree and is annexed as an integral part of it.

IV.- According to Art. 131 ordinal 5° of the Constitution is the responsibility of this State body to decree, interpret, reform and repeal secondary laws.

in use of its constitutional faculties and at the initiative of the Deputies Carlos Cortez Hernández, Mario Eduardo Valiente Ortiz, Nery Arely Díaz de Rivera, Guadalupe Antonio Vásquez Martínez, Carlos Armando Reyes Ramos and Manuel Vicente Menjívar and of the former Member Ana Daysi Villalobos Membreño.

Art. 1.- It is established as a limit between the municipalities of Atiquizaya and San Lorenzo both of the Department of Ahuachapán, the following:

The trazo of the municipal boundary consists of twelve paths. The first route consisting of three sections, determined by four points, numbered from one to four, by linens of plots; the second route consisting of one single section, determined by two points, numbered from four to five, by natural hydrographic element; the third route consisting of one single section, determined by two points, numbered from five to six, by land communication; the fourth route formed from one single section, determined by two points numbered from six to six.

Trifini starting point. It is defined in the interception of the extension of the property lindero, which divides the plots eighteen and three hundred forty and two, both of the sector zero one zero nine R zero seven, with the central axis of the Agua Caliente river, where the point number one is located, at the same time trifinio for the municipalities of Atiquizaya, San Lorenzo and Ahuachapán, all belonging to the Department of Ahuachapán. Its coordinates are length equal, four hundred thirteen thousand two hundred ninety cubits sixty-nine meters; latitude equal, three hundred twenty thousand seven hundred eighty-seven cubits thirty-one meters. Its neighbors are, for the municipality of Atiquizaya, plot three hundred forty and two, of sector zero one zero nine R zero seven; for the municipality of San Lorenzo, plot eighteen, of sector zero one zero nine R zero seven and for the municipality of Ahuachapán, plot one hundred twenty-five, of sector zero one R zero eight.
