THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE SALVADOR,

CONSIDERING:

I.- That the Episcopal Conference of El Salvador (CEDES) will introduce to the country the amount of thirty-six thousand (36,000) litres of wine to consecrate, which will be distributed in all the parishes of the country, to be used during the celebrations of the holy Eucharist.

II.- That in accordance with the powers conferred upon this Legislative Assembly by the Constitution of the Republic, it is appropriate to exempt from payment of all kinds of taxes, including wine cellar, which may cause the introduction to the country of wine in mention.

TANTO,

in the use of its constitutional powers and at the initiative of the deputy Carmen Elena Calderón de Escalón, and of the deputy Roberto José d ́Aubuisson Munguía.

RIGHT:

Art. 1.- Exonerate to the Episcopal Conference of El Salvador (CEDES), the payment of all kinds of taxes, including wine cellar, except for the Tax on the Transfer of Furniture Goods and the Servicing of Services (IVA), which can cause the introduction to the country of thirty-six thousand (36,000) litres of wine to consecrate.

The waiver granted is without prejudice to the monitoring and control to be exercised by the respective tax agencies.

Art. 2.- This Decree shall enter into force from the day of its publication in the Official Gazette.
