THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE SALVADOR,

CONSIDERING:

I.- That the State and Government of El Salvador, through the Ramo de la Defensa Nacional, signed a complementary agreement of bilateral cooperation with the Government of the Republic of Chile, through the Logistics Command of the Air Force of the latter, signed on 30 August 1991.

II.- In the framework of the agreement referred to in the previous consideration, the Government of the Republic has acquired 10 aircraft, type A-37B, which will be used in activities to combat narcoactivity and drug trafficking, as well as for rescue of any kind, when the inhabitants of the Republic demand it.

III.- That for the purpose of facilitating their entry, and in accordance with the provisions of Art. 131 of the Constitution of the Republic, it is appropriate to exempt from payment of all types of taxes, including the Tax on the Transfer of Furniture Property and the Provision of Services (VAT) and wine cellar, which may cause the introduction to the country of the aircraft referred to.

in the use of its constitutional powers and at the initiative of the Lorena Guadalupe Peña Mendoza.

RIGHT:

Art. 1.-Refer to the Government of the Republic, in the Ramo de la Defensa Nacional of payment of all types of taxes, including the Tax on the Transfer of Furniture Property and the Provision of Services (VAT) and warehouse, which may cause the introduction to the country of 10 A-37B-type aircraft, and associated logistic support, including engines, ground support equipment, fuel ponds, spare parts, and technical background and history.

Art. 2.- Authorize the Ministry of Finance, issue the administrative provisions necessary to facilitate the application of the content referred to in this Decree.

Art. 3.- This Decree shall enter into force from the day of its publication in the Official Gazette.
