1 Decree No. 724 the Legislative Assembly of the Republic of EL SALVADOR, considering: (I).-in accordance with rule 131, ordinal º 22 of the Constitution of the Republic, is Faculty of this organ of State to grant to individuals or populations, titles, honorary distinctions and gratuities consistent with the form of Government established by relevant services to the homeland.
II.-that article 6, literal c) honorary distinctions, rewards and titles Act, establishes that the honorary distinctions of remarkable and distinguished or accomplished, in their order of importance, may be granted to Salvadoran people and foreign residents, when services or contributions that have been given to the homeland, is related to the dissemination and use of science art, culture, education and sport or any other form of altruistic or collective service; such a way that represents an undeniable benefit for the Salvadoran Government or its inhabitants.
III.-that Don second Alejandro Dagoberto Marroquin Cabrera, born in San Salvador, El Salvador, on June 20, 1937, degree in economics and political science, graduate of the University El Salvador in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with studies in the universities of Rosario in Argentina, José Simeón Cañas in El Salvador, Harvard in the United States of America, and Bonn in Germany It is a professional that in addition to having served to their homeland through the performance of various positions in the productive areas of the country, it has excelled in the art of musical composition, having devoted to different municipalities of our country, different melodies of his own, and that they have now acquired fame.

Therefore, use of his constitutional powers and at the initiative of MEPs: Jose Serafin Orantes Rodriguez, Luis Roberto Angulo Samayoa, Reynaldo Antonio López Cardoza and Mario Antonio Ponce López.
Decree: Article 1.-declared Don second Alejandro Dagoberto Marroquin Cabrera, "distinguished COMPOSER music of EL SALVADOR", as a recognition to his career, and the support provided for the development of art and culture in our country.
Article 2.-this Decree shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the official journal.
