DECREE NO 718
THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR,
CONSIDERING:
I.-That the existing delimitation between the Municipalities that comprise the Department of Freedom does not conform to the present development of technology in the field of registry and territorial measurement; nor does it conform to the

III.-That a process of dialogue has developed between The municipalities involved with the assistance of the National Records Center and the Geographic Institute and the National Catastro, thus arriving in this way to the elaboration and signature of the Municipal Limit Act QUEZALTEPEQUE-SAN JUAN OPICO with Reference No. 0512-0515, which is taken as the basis for the content of this Decree and is annexed as an integral part of it.
IV.-That the Municipal Code in its Art. 23 establishes that it is the faculty of the Legislative Assembly to decree the definition of territorial limits.
V.-That according to Art. 131 ordinal 5 ° the Constitution is the competence of this First State Authority to decree, to interpret authentically, to reform and to repeal secondary laws.

in use of its Constitutional powers and at the initiative of the Deputies Carlos Cortez Hernandez, Nery Arely Diaz de Rivera, Mildred Guadalupe Machado, Rafael Moran Tobar, Mario Eduardo Brave Ortiz and Guadalupe Antonio Vasquez Martinez and former Deputy Erik Mira Bonilla.
DECCRETA:
Art. 1.-It is established as a limit between the Municipalities of Quezaltepeque and San Juan Opico both of the Department of Freedom, the following:
The trace of the Municipal limit consists of three commutes. The first journey formed of three sections, determined by four points, numbered one to four, by line of plots; the second journey formed from two sections, determined by three numbered points from four to six, by way of terrestrial communication; the third journey formed from four sections, determined by five numbered points from six to ten, by plot lines.

With course South fifteen degrees, three minutes, forty-eight point zero three seconds West, on the crater of the volcano of San Salvador, known as El Boqueron; until reaching the bottom of the center of the crater, where the point is located Number 10. With an approximate distance of seven hundred and ninety-six point twenty-nine meters. Its coordinates are the same length, four hundred and sixty-nine thousand fifty-eight point forty-eight meters; equal latitude, two hundred and ninety thousand six hundred and thirty-seven point sixty-five meters. Its adjoining are the crater of the El Boqueron volcano for both Municipalities.
Common point of arrival. It is described as a point number ten, located in the lower part of the center of the crater, of the volcano of San Salvador known as El Boqueron, at the same time it is common point for the Municipalities of Columbus, San Juan Opico, Quezaltepeque, Santa Key, all from the Department of Liberty and Nejapa, from the Department of San Salvador.
Art. 2. This Decree shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the Official Journal.
