DECREE NO 734

THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR,

CONSIDERING:

I.-That at the 17th Meeting of the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), held in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia from 23 to 29 November 2007, the amendment was adopted to Art. 38 of the OMT.

II.-That the Instrument referred to in the previous recital has been approved by Executive Agreement No. 740/2014 of May 22, 2014, and submitted to the Legislative Assembly for its ratification.

III. The aforementioned Amendment does not contain any provision contrary to the Constitution, being its ratification.

BY TANTO,

in use of the authority established in Art. 131, ordinal 7th of the Constitution in relation to the Art. 168, ordinal 4th of it, and at the initiative of the then President of the Republic, period 2009-2014, through the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

DECRETA:

Art. 1.-ratify in all its parts the Amendment to Art. 38 of the Statutes of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), adopted by the General Assembly of the WTO, at its 17th meeting held in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, from 23 to 29 November of 2007; approved by the Executive Body, by Agreement No. 740/2014 of 22 May 2014.

Art. 2. This Decree shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the Official Journal.
