DECREE NO 753
THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR,
CONSIDERING:
I.-That in accordance with Article 131, ordinal 22 ° of the Constitution of the Republic, it is the faculty of this State Authority to grant to persons or populations, titles, honorary distinctions and compatible gratifications with the form of government established, for relevant services provided to the Homeland.
II.- That Article 6, literal c) of the Law of Honorific Distances, Gratitude and Titles, establishes that the honorable and distinguished distinctions of Notable and Distinguished or Distinguished, in their order of relevance, may be granted to Salvadoran persons or foreign residents, when the services or contributions that have been provided to the Homeland, are related to the dissemination and exploitation of science, art, culture, education and sport or any other form of altruistic service or collective; in such a way that it represents an undeniable benefit for the Salvadoran State or its

VI.-That by virtue of the merits noted, it is appropriate to grant the honorary distinction of "DISTINGUISHED JOURNALIST OF EL SALVADOR", post mortem, to the Licensed Oscar Mauricio Alas Romero, in recognition of his invaluable contributions to the journalism of our country and his outstanding professional communicative work for the benefit of the population Salvadoran.

DECRETA:
Art. 1.-Declare Oscar Mauricio alas Romero, "DISTINGUISHED JOURNALIST OF EL SALVADOR", post mortem, in recognition of his invaluable contributions to the journalism of our country and his outstanding professional communicative work for the benefit of the Salvadoran population.
Art. 2.-This Decree shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the Official Journal.
