DECREE NO 794

THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR,

CONSIDERING:

I.-That the "Lumen 2000 Association of El Salvador" is an apolitical and non-profit institution, whose objectives, among others, are to disseminate cultural, human, moral and ethical values through the media (i) to ensure that they reach the widest possible audience, without distinction of race, sex or nationality.

II.-That for the purpose of raising funds for the achievement of their objectives, they will introduce to the country a vehicle, which will be later raffled.

III.-That according to the faculties that to this Legislative Assembly It confers on it the Constitution of the Republic, and with the objective of contributing to the fact that the aforementioned institution complies with its objectives, it is appropriate to exonerate the payment of taxes, including bodegaje, that can cause the introduction to the country of the mentioned auto and the raffle of the same.

in use of its Constitutional powers and The initiative of the Diputados Claudia Ramírez, Carmen Elena Calderón de Escalón and the Deputies Sigifredo Ochoa Pérez and Roberto José d' Aubuisson Munguía.

DECRETA:

Art. 1.-Exonerase of the payment of taxes, including bodegage, except for the Tax on the Transfer of Furniture and Services (VAT), which can cause the introduction to the country of a vehicle, as well as the raffle of the same, in favor of the "Association Lumen 2000 of El Salvador", which is of the following characteristics: Brand: Nissan; model: R52L-1406 PATHFINDER ADVANCE 3.5L 4X4 CVT GAS 7 PA; capacity: 7 seats; colour: grey; year: 2015; engine number: VQ35578409Y; chassis number recorded: 5N1AR2MM6EC6EC6EC78109; chassis number vin: 5N1AR2MM6EC678109; fuel: gasoline; type: rustic.

The exemption granted is without prejudice to the surveillance and control to be exercised by the respective tax agencies. The representatives of the Association will also have to present to this Assembly within 30 days after the event, a duly signed and sealed report by a responsible auditor, on the income obtained and the distribution of same.

Art. 2.-This Decree shall enter into force from the day of its publication in the Official Journal.
