1 Decree N ° 818 the Legislative Assembly of the Republic of EL SALVADOR, considering: I.-that on September 28, 1954, was signed in the framework of the Organization of the United Nations Convention relating to the status of stateless persons.
II.-that the instrument referred to in the previous recital has been approved by agreement Executive No. 701/2014, on May 15, 2014 and submitted to the Legislative Assembly for ratification.
III.-that the before mentioned Convention does not contain any provision contrary to the Constitution, being from its ratification.
Therefore, in use of the power established in article 131, 7 th Ordinal of the Constitution in relation to Art. 168, Ordinal 4th and at the initiative of the then President of the Republic, five-year period 2009-2014, through the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Decree: Article 1.-ratified throughout the Convention on the status of stateless persons, which consists of a preamble, forty-two articles, an annex of sixteen paragraphs and a model of travel document; signed by the Government of the Republic of El Salvador on 28 September 1954 and approved by the Executive Body in the field of Foreign Affairs, by means of agreement No. 701/2014 May 15, 2014.
Article 2.-this Decree shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the official journal.
