DECREE NO 819

THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR,

CONSIDERING:

I.-That in accordance with Article 131, Ordinary 11 of the Constitution, it is the faculty of this Legislative Assembly to decree, in a general manner, benefits and tax incentives or of any nature, for the promotion of cultural, scientific, agricultural, industrial, or other activities.

II. Salvador has a large number of people who are dedicated to developing the art of "making a laugh" as clowns and clowns, a trade that has been inherited from generation to generation, and where even, there are professionals of various academic careers that

III.-That at present there are no incentives for people who dedicate themselves to this cultural and leisure branch, because of which, it is important to recognize the work of the payases and Clowns who with their work not only have fun but also bring daily sustenance to their families.

IV.-That by virtue of the above and in order to continue to encourage all the people who dedicate themselves to bring smiles to all the corners of our country, thus becoming cultural managers, it is appropriate to declare the First Wednesday of December of each year, "NATIONAL DAY OF THE SALVADORAN CLOWN".

DECCRETA:

Art. 1.-declare on the first Wednesday of December of each year, "NATIONAL DAY OF THE SALVADORAN CLOWN", in recognition of their cultural, economic and healthy spread that they offer to the Salvadoran society.

Art. 2. This Decree shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the Official Journal.
