DECREE NO 902

THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR,

CONSIDERING:

I.-That by Legislative Decree No 529 dated 13 January 1999, published in Official Journal No 23, Volume N ° 342 of 3 February of the same year, the Customs Simplification Law was issued, with the object of establishing the basic legal framework for the adoption of simplification, facilitation and control mechanisms for the customs operations, through the use of automatic information exchange systems.

II.-Which by means of Legislative Decree No. 23 dated 7 June 2012, published in Official Journal No 123, Volume No 396 of 4 July 2012 the same year, the Law referred to in the previous recital was reformed, with the aim of modernizing customs and allowing the customs service to access the appropriate technology, which will facilitate the interaction and integration of the participants in the logistics chain, by applying non-intrusive inspection services.

III.- the purpose of facilitating the operations under the customs procedure of international land transit of goods which will not be subject to a customs procedure in our country, it is necessary to exclude such operations from the payment of the established fee In article 12-B of the Customs Simplification Law.

DECCRETA:

Art. 1.-Add a paragraph to Art. 12-B, as follows:

" They shall be excluded from the payment referred to in this Article, goods in transit that do not have by origin or destination the national territory. '

Art. 2. This Decree shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the Official Journal.
