DECREE NO 995

THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR,

CONSIDERING:

I.-That by Legislative Decree No. 653 dated 06 December 2001,

published in Official Journal No. 240, Volume N ° 353, of the 19th of the same month and year, the Organic Law of the National Civil Police was issued, in where their creation, organization and attributions were established.

II.-That the Constitution, establishes that the National Civil Police will guarantee the order, security and public tranquility, as well as the collaboration with the Office of the Prosecutor's Office

General of the Republic in the procedure of investigation of the crime, all in accordance with the Law

in use of its Constitutional powers and at the initiative of the Deputy José Antonio Almendariz Rivas.

DECRETA the following:

REFORM TO THE LAW ORGANIC NATIONAL POLICE OFFICER.

Art. 1.-Reform Art. 16, as follows:
