DECREE NO 1005

THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR,

CONSIDERING:

I.-That the first paragraph of Art. 1 of the Constitution establishes that El Salvador recognizes the human person as the origin and end of the activity of the State,

that is organized for the attainment of justice, of legal certainty and the common good.

II.-That the citizen Jorge Alberto González Barillas, known as Jorge "Magico" González, has been a leading professional sportsman, who for many years has put our country high.

III.-That in the 1970s and 80s he played professionally in our country, being part of The Salvadoran Football Team, which obtained the qualification for

to participate in the World Cup 82.

IV.-That in the year 2003 this Legislative Assembly conferred on him the Honorific Distinction of "The Most Merited Son of El Salvador"; In addition, in that same year, the Government

changed the name of the "Estadio Flor Blanca" to "Estadio" Magic Gonzalez ", in recognition of his hard work.

V.-That as a recognition of such a broad and outstanding sports career, it is appropriate to grant him a lifetime pension.

DECRETA:

Art. 1.-Grant a monthly lifetime pension in favor of retired footballer Jorge Alberto González Barillas, equivalent to two monthly minimum wages in force, corresponding to the trade and services sector.

Art. 2.-The Ministry of Finance is empowered to apply, as referred to in the previous article, the budgetary allocation corresponding to the passive classes in the Ramo de Hacienda,

contained in the general obligations of the Status.

Art. 3.-This Decree shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the Official Journal.
