DECREE NO 844

THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR,

CONSIDERING:

I.-That in accordance with Article 131 Ordinary 22 ° of the Constitution, it is up to the Legislative Assembly to grant to persons or populations, titles, honorary distinctions and gratifications compatible with the form of government established.

II.-That the Municipality of San Antonio del Monte, Sonsonate Department, at present has achieved remarkable progress, because it has the necessary public and private services for the well-being and development of its inhabitants; thus fulfilling the requirements laid down in the Law Honorific Distances, Grations and Titles, to raise their current category to that of City.

III.-That for the reasons above, the Municipality of San Antonio del Monte, Department of Sonsonate, meets the conditions to grant you the City Title.

in use of the faculties Constitutional and at the initiative of the Deputy Cesar Humberto Garcia Aguilera and with the support of Deputies Eduardo Enrique Barrientos Zepeda, Silvia Alejandrina Castro Figueroa, Roberto Jose d' Aubuisson Munguía, Lucia del Carmen Ayala de Leon, Rene Gustavo Escalante Zelaya, Jose Edgar Escolan Batse, Julio Cesar Fabian Perez, Felix Agreda Chachagua, Carmen Elena Figueroa Rodriguez, Vicente Hernandez Gomez, Edilberto Hernandez Castillo, Manuel Vicente Menjívar Esquivel, Francisco Eduardo Ortiz Amaya, Silvia Estela Ostorga de Escobar, Sergio Benigno Portillo Portillo, Alberto Armando Romero Rodriguez, Marcos Francisco Salazar Umana, Patricia Maria Salazar de Rosales, Jose Antonio Almendariz Rivas, Reynaldo Antonio Lopez Cardoza and Jose Vidal Carrillo Delgado.

DECCRETA:

Art. 1.-Grant the City Title to the population of San Antonio del Monte, Department of Sonsonate.

Art. 2.-This Decree shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the Official Journal.
