DECREE NO 921

THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR,

CONSIDERING:

I.-That by Legislative Decree No. 289 dated March 9, 1995, published in Official Journal No. 69, Tomo N ° 327, dated April 7 of the same year, the Law of the Fire Corps of El Salvador was issued.

II. Article 11 of the aforementioned Law provides that insurance companies must contribute to the Firefighters, with 2% on the premium of the insured amount, in concept of payment of service for the inspection of the goods to be secured.

III.-That the Fire Body faces urgent needs for the combat of the sinister, such as personal protection equipment, adequate tools and human element increase, so it is necessary to reform article 11 of the aforementioned law in order to improve the conditions of the aforementioned institution.

BY TANTO,

in use of his Constitutional powers and at the initiative of the Deputies Sigifredo Ochoa Pérez and Manuel Rigoberto Soto Lazo.

DECRETA:

Art. 1.-Reform the second indent of Article 11, as follows:

" The amount corresponding to 4% on the premium of the insured amount is established, as payment that the insurance companies will deliver to the Fire Service in concept of services by the inspection of the goods to be secured, either new emissions, renewals or any increase of the premium for the modification to the amount to be secured. "

Art. 2. -This Decree will enter into force eight days after its publication in the Official Journal.
