DECREE NO 931

THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR,

CONSIDERING:

I.-That in accordance with Article 131, Ordinary 11 ° of the Constitution, it is the faculty of this Legislative Assembly to decree, in a general manner, benefits and tax incentives or of any nature, for the promotion of cultural, scientific, agricultural, industrial, or other activities.

II. by Legislative Decree No 41 dated 4 May 1948, published in Official Journal No 99, Volume N ° 144, dated 12 May 1948, was established on 15 May of each year as 'The Day of the Nurse'.

III.-That because currently the nursing profession is exercised by an increasingly significant number of people of the male sex, it becomes appropriate to reform the aforementioned Decree in order to incorporate the people of the sex

FOR TANTO,

in use of its Constitutional powers and at the initiative of the Deputy Carmen Elena Figueroa Rodriguez, and the Deputy Eduardo Enrique Barrientos Zepeda.

DECCRETA:

Art. 1.-Reform of Art. 1 of Legislative Decree No. 41 dated May 4, 1948, published in Official Journal No 99, Volume No. 144, dated May 12, 1948, by which it was established on May 15 of each year as "Day of the Nurse," the following way:

" Art. 1.-Declare the fifteen of May of each year as "DAY OF THE NURSING PROFESSIONAL".

Art. 2. This Decree shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the Official Journal.

GIVEN IN THE BLUE HALL OF THE LEGISLATIVE PALACE: San Salvador, at twenty-one day of the month of January of the year two thousand fifteen.
