DECREE NO 984
THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR,
CONSIDERING:
I.-That Article 53 of the Constitution of the Republic establishes that the right
to education and culture is inherent in the human person; consequently, it is the primary obligation and purpose of the State its conservation, promotion and dissemination.
II.-Also, Article 51 of the Special Law of Protection of the Cultural Heritage of El Salvador, establishes that cultural goods will be recognized by
means of Legislative Decree, Executive Decree or Internal Resolution of the Ministry as the case may be. The Legislative Body will recognize by Decree the quality of national monument; the historical center; area, area, site, place,
cultural or historical ensemble. The cultural good will be recognized in the manner prescribed in this Law and its Regulations.
III.-That based on the technical description presented by the Secretariat of Culture
through the National Directorate of Cultural Heritage and Address of the Registry of Cultural Property, it was recommended to declare the place in which the building is currently located referred to as "Children's Park of Diversions", "Site
Historical"; since according to the perimeter delimitations established, the building meets the essential requirements for its conservation, protection and safeguard.
IV.-That the perimeter mentioned in the previous recital, meets the legal requirements to be declared "Historic Site", which on the basis of the assessment
technical realized, has indispensable requirements As are the values of antiquity, aesthetic-architectural, historical, symbolic, social and urban, to possess outstanding elements in forming part of the identity and memory of the
population, in addition to being constituted as a point of reference The unique and conformation of the landscape and the urban scene, being statement as a measure to grant the protection of the rule of law
to such an important area.

DECCRETA:
Art. 1.-Declare as "Historic Site", the place where the building is currently located called "Children's Park of Diversions", located in the Municipality and Department of San
Salvador, in accordance with the delimited zone that starts from the north-west vertex which is the number one mojon, by means of the perimeters to describe:
TO PONDEJA: In thirteen sections stretch one with direction North fifteen degrees two minutes thirty point fifty and four seconds East, distance of twenty meters zero one centimeter. Stretch two with course North fifteen degrees thirty-nine minutes three-point fifteen seconds East, distance of twenty-one
meters with forty-eight centimeters. Stretch three with course South seventy-five degrees thirty-three minutes fifty-seven point sixty-nine seconds East, distance of eleven meters with fifty-three centimeters. Stretch four with course North eleven degrees fifty-five minutes eighteen point
zero four seconds East, distance of thirty-five meters eighty-four centimeters. Section five for North bound twenty-one degrees thirty and one minute twenty seconds West, distance of three meters with zero six centimeters. Art. 3.-This Decree shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the Official Journal.
