DECREE No. 24 THE LEGISLATURE OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR, CONSIDERING
:
I.- by Legislative Decree No. 605, dated May 6, 1999, published in Official Journal No. 90, Volume No. 343, 18 of the same year, was issued the Law
Special Fund Resources Arising Privatization of ANTEL.
II It is necessary to use funds to support the development and strengthening of micro and small enterprises, with the aim of contributing to the growth of the economy and to support public policies to prevent violence
and thus strengthen social harmony, for which the relevant amendments to the Act referred to above to be introduced Recital.
THEREFORE,
in exercise of its constitutional powers and initiative of the President of the Republic, through the Minister of Economy
.
DECREES the following:
AMENDMENTS TO THE LAW OF THE SPECIAL FUND OF RESOURCES FROM THE PRIVATIZATION OF ANTEL
Art. 1. Refórmense paragraphs d) and e), and hereby added the literal h) to Article 11 as follows:.
"D) Artisan Development and Support of Micro and Small Enterprises:
This area has to contribute to improving the living conditions of artisans
Salvadorans and their families, preserving the country's cultural heritage embodied in customs processes and implicit in the craft, by consolidating effective support systems that lead to improvement productivity and competitiveness of production
Salvadoran artisans, as well as expanding local and international markets for such production.
Also, this area will aim to contribute to the development of productive and competitive capabilities
micro and small enterprises (MSEs), including enterprises and MSEs focused on cultural development, with the aim of promoting . its articulation in the dynamics of territorial and national economy "
" e) community Development and Violence Prevention:
funding for this area seek to provide the neediest communities in the country

basic infrastructure, either social or productive type, in order to positively impact on improving their quality of life.
funds may also be used for the implementation of programs and actions in the framework of public policies to prevent violence "
" h) Artistic and Cultural Entrepreneurship.
This area is aimed at development of activities to encourage, promote, develop, disseminate and evaluate artistic and cultural projects. "
Art. 2. Refórmanse subparagraphs a), c), e), f) and hereby added the literal g) to Article 12 as follows:.
"A) Promoting employment through foreign investment, exports and tourism 10.0%. "
" c) Community Development and Violence Prevention 25.0%. "
" e) Development and Forest Protection 14.25%. "
" f) Artisan Development and Support micro and Small Enterprise 10.0%. "
" g) 0.75% Artistic and Cultural Entrepreneurship. "
Art. 3. this Decree shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the Official Journal.
