DECREE NO 138
THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR,
CONSIDERING:
I.-That in accordance with Article 131, Ordinary 22 ° of the Constitution of the Republic, it is the faculty of this State Body, to grant to persons or
populations, titles, honorary distinctions and gratifications, compatible with the form of government established, for relevant services provided to the Homeland.
II.-That article 6, literal c) of the Law of Honorific Distances, Gratitude and Titles, establishes that the honorable and Distinguished or Distinguished distinctions, in their order of relevance, may be awarded to Salvadoran people
or foreign residents, when the services or contributions that have been provided to the Homeland, are related to the dissemination and exploitation of science, art, culture, education and sport or any other another form of service
altruistic or collective; in such a way that it represents an undeniable benefit for the Salvadoran State or its inhabitants.
III.-That the citizen Eileen Therese Siman of Bahaia, is a graduate professional
in Economics in the year of 1976 of the "Central American University José Simeon Canas", who besides being entrepreneur, mother, wife and exemplary woman, has made important social works to help those who need most, as
is the foundation of two non-profit organizations, called the "Foundation for the Development of El Tamarindo" and "Foundation Innocence Pro Childhood with HIV AIDS", through which it supports communities and fishermen
craft of the areas of El Tamarindo, El Arecarey and Buena Vista, as well as children and adolescents who suffer from HIV AIDS.
IV.-How sensitive to the needs of those most in need, Mrs. Siman has supported throughout her career, to various organizations and communities among those that can be mentioned: Divine Providence, Hogares Crea Maria
Assisting, Salvadoran Arab Association, FESA, FUSAL, Fundación Homes Providencia, LUMEN 2000 and National Children's Hospital Benjamin Bloom, among others.
V.-That by virtue of the merits mentioned above, it is appropriate to grant the Honorific of "DISTINGUISHED CITIZEN OF EL SALVADOR", Mrs. Eileen
Therese Siman de Bahaia, in recognition of his outstanding altruistic and humanitarian work for the benefit of the Salvadoran population.

DECCRETA:
Art. 1.-Declare Mrs. Eileen Therese Siman of Bahaia, "DISTINGUISHED CITIZEN OF EL SALVADOR", in recognition of her outstanding altruistic and humanitarian work for the benefit of
Salvadoran population
Art. 2. This Decree shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the Official Journal.
