DECREE NO 113

THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR,

CONSIDERING:

I.-That in accordance with Article 131, Ordinary 22 ° of the Constitution of the Republic, it is the faculty of this State Body, to grant to persons or

populations, titles, honorary distinctions and gratifications, compatible with the form of government established, for relevant services provided to the Homeland.

II.-That by Legislative Decree No. 902, dated November 3 of the year two thousand eleven, published in the Official Journal No. 223, Volume N ° 393, dated November 29, 2011, the " Order of Merit 5 November 1811, Proceres

of the Homeland Independence " of the Legislative Assembly, in order to recognize and reward Salvadoran or foreign men and women who are distinguished by eminent services provided to the homeland.

III. Isabel Rodríguez, a Salvadoran national, graduated as a Doctor of Medicine at the University of El Salvador. Salvador in 1948 and with postgraduate degrees in Cardiology and Physiological Sciences of the National Institute of

Cardiology of Mexico, is a professional who has been outstanding for her excellence in the field of Medical Sciences, whose contributions in this branch has been of great value to the Salvadoran people and society in general, standing out

within her solid career and experience as a teacher, for her participation as a professor and researcher at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of San Salvador. of El Salvador, working on the orientation of the teaching of Physiology and the

Pharmacology Students of Medicine and Dentistry, designing and executing graduate training for Central American students and dictating numerous courses in the field of physiological sciences for the formation of

specialists.

IV.-That Doctor Maria Isabel Rodríguez, is an extraordinary academic woman,

whose projection as professional and Salvadoran, has made her worthy of countless recognitions, with which she has awarded her dedication and This is the only way to develop each of its projects, contributing to this

way to the Salvadoran culture and by putting in high the name of our country by creating about one hundred and three patents and publications, which have been distributed as follows: Production related to

Biomedical Research Basic and Clinical in the Cardiovascular Area; Human Resources Development in Health; Related Publications in Medical Education, Training, Curricular Design and Health Personnel Research; Public Health

and Social Medicine; Health International; Human Resources and Sector Reform; and, University and Population Health.

V.-That in addition to the merits expressed, has been consistently performed

as coordinator of various International Health Training programs, promoting the postgraduate training of professionals from North, Central and South

America, deepening the analysis of the articulation of the biological and the social in the training of Health personnel, coordinating and orienting seminars and forums on the role of the Latin American University in the Health of the

population, and driving the study of changes in the medical profession and its influence on the Medical Education of the Future.

VI.-That in recognition of the eminent services provided to the Fatherland, it is appropriate to donate to the Doctor Maria Isabel Rodríguez, with the maximum pressure that this State Authority confers on natural persons, granting them

the "Order of Merit 5 of November 1811, Proceres of the Homeland Independence".

Art. 2.-This Decree shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the Official Journal.
