DECREE NO 123
THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR,
CONSIDERING:
I.-That by Decree No. 173, of the Revolutionary Government Council of the Republic of El Salvador, dated June 22, 1949, published in the Journal
Official No. 137, Volume No. 146, of the 23rd of the same month and year, authorized an annual erogation for up to a THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED COLONES (¢ 1,500.00), to cover expenses " Related to the awards given to employees
and workers of the National Printing Press, who for their honesty, self-denial, discipline, competence and dedication to work become worthy of them.
II. Legislative Decree No 567 dated 16 June 1993, published in Official Journal No 131, Volume N ° 320 of 13 July of the same year, the first paragraph of Article 1 of the Decree cited in recital
was amended: Annual payment to cover expenses related to prizes referred to up to the amount of FIFTEEN THOUSAND COLONES (¢ 15,000.00).
III.-That at present the above quantity is considered insufficient and not proportional to the importance that the institutions institutions correspond to them, and must therefore be adapted to the dignity that they are
recognizes.
FOR TANTO,
in use of its Constitutional powers and on the initiative of the President of the Republic, through the Minister of Government and Territorial Development.
DECCRETA the following:
REFORM TO DECREE No. 173 OF THE REVOLUTIONARY GOVERNING COUNCIL OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR, DATED JUNE 22, 1949, PUBLISHED ON THE
OFFICIAL JOURNAL NO. 137, TOOK N ° 146, 23 OF THAT SAME MONTH AND YEAR
Art. 1.-Reform the first paragraph of Art. 1, as follows:
" Art. 1.-Prizes are instituted up to the amount of TWO THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS FROM THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA ($2,350.00), which will consist of cash, medals and diplomas; which will be distributed as established by the Regulation concerned. '
Art. 2. This Decree shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the Official Journal.
