DECREE NO 149
THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR,
CONSIDERING:
I.-That the existing delimitation between the Municipalities comprising the Department of Freedom does not conform to the present development of the technology
in the field of registration and territorial measurement; nor the current circumstances of social and economic development of the country.
II. The registration technology and the photogrammetric models currently available by the National Records Center; it is possible to establish a precise delimitation and demarcation of these limits.
III. dialogue between the municipalities involved with the assistance of the National Center of Records and the Institute
Geographic and the National Catastro, thus arriving in this way to the elaboration and signature of the Act of Municipal Limit COLON-SAN JOHN OPICO with reference N ° 0503-0515, which is taken as the basis for the content of the present Decree and annexed as an integral part of it.
IV.-That the Municipal Code in its Art. 23 establishes that it is the faculty of the Legislative Assembly to decree the definition of territorial limits.
V.-That according to Art. 131 Ordinal 5 ° of the Constitution is the competence of this First State Authority to decree, to interpret authentically, to reform
and to repeal secondary laws.

Art. 1.-It is established as a limit between the Municipalities of Columbus and San Juan Opico, both of the Department of Liberty, the following:

Its adjacent ones are, for the Municipality of San Juan Opico, a portion of the aforementioned crater;
for the Municipality of Columbus, another portion of the crater before related.
Common point of arrival. The point of arrival will be the one described as number twenty-three, which at the same time is a common point for the Municipalities of Nejapa, belonging to the Department of San Salvador; Santa Tecla, Colón, San Juan Opico and Quezaltepeque, all belonging to the Department
of Liberty. The full crater is part of the plot three thousand eight, from the sector zero five eleven R zero one.
Art. 2.-This Decree shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the Official Journal.
