DECREE NO 221

THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR,

CONSIDERING:

I.-That in accordance with the Constitution, it is the faculty of this Government Body, to grant permission to Salvadorans to accept honorary distinctions

granted by foreign governments.

II. Government of the Sister Republic of Guatemala, has conferred on the

citizen Salvadoran and Magistrate of the Supreme Court of Justice, Doctor Florentin Melendez Padilla, the "Order of the Five Volcanoes".

III.-That in the attention of the above, it is appropriate to grant the permission requested by the Doctor Florentin Melendez Padilla, to accept the aforementioned decoration.

FOR TANTO,

in use of its Constitutional faculty established in Art. 131, Ordinary 23rd and at the initiative of the

Deputy Carmen Elena Calderón de Escalon.

DECRETA:

Art. 1.-Grant the Salvadoran citizen and the Supreme Court Magistrate, Doctor Florentin Melendez Padilla, permission to accept the "Order of the Five Volcanoes" Condecoration,

been conferred on him by the Government of the Republic of Guatemala.

Art. 2.-This Decree shall enter into force from the day of its publication in the Official Journal.
