DECREE N ° 273

THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR,

CONSIDERING:

I.-That in accordance with Article 131, Ordinary 22 ° of the Constitution of the Republic, it is the faculty of this State Body, to grant to persons or

populations, titles, honorary distinctions and gratifications, compatible with the form of government established, for relevant services provided to the Homeland.

II.-That article 6, literal c) of the Law of Honorific Distances, Gratitude and Titles, establishes that the honorable and Distinguished or Distinguished distinctions, in their order of relevance, may be awarded to Salvadoran people

or foreign residents, when the services or contributions that have been provided to the Homeland, are related to the dissemination and exploitation of science, art, culture, education and sport or any other another form of service

altruistic or collective; in such a way that it represents an undeniable benefit for the Salvadoran State or its inhabitants.

III.-That prominent painter Nicole Maryse Levy de Schwartz, originally from

Paris, France, and with Salvadoran nationality, arrived in her twenties to our country and started her Painting studies in the City of San Salvador, in the Academy of Drawing and Painting of "Valero Lecha" in the sixties and then studied

drawing with the master sculptor Benjamin Saul, also worked with the teachers Enrique Aberle, Johan Anderson and Victor Manuel Rodriguez.

IV.-The work of Nicole Maryse Levy of Schwartz is circumscribe within a poetic universe, and to its sensitivity is due to the proposal of unreleased breathing in which it tries to materialize its own dreams to speak of the happiness that

she finds in the painting; however her creations do not mean a footprint in the face of the real, but they embody without any ambiguity, the translation of a colorful universe of murmurs and of gentle movements captured in the corners

more heterogeneous geographical, especially of our land.

V.-That Nicole Maryse Levy of Schwartz has contributed to enriching the acquis

El Salvador cultural and is an exhibitor of our identity universally, as she has stood out as one of the most outstanding contemporary artists, finding herself within her most important achievements: The Academy Award

Royal in 1990, First Prize of the Drawing and Painting Hall to Water, in the "Grand Palais de Paris" in 2002; the Senate of the Republic of France grants him the Medal of "Merit Artist" in the year 2012; he has participated

as well as El Salvador's representative in the important "Bienales de Paris", in France in 1993 and São Paulo, Brazil in 1994, as well as in the famous events of: Autumn Hall in Paris, France; French Artists ' Salon in Paris, France; Salon "Dalben", France; "Painting to Water and Drawing" Salon

in Paris, France; "Latin American and Caribbean Modern Art Hall at UNESCO" in Paris, France; and in "Piemontres Abbey," Lorraine, France, between

others.

VI.-That by virtue of the above mentioned merits, it is appropriate to grant the Distinction

Honorific of "NOTABLE PAINTER AND TEACHER OF EL SALVADOR", to the artist Nicole Maryse Levy of Schwartz, by virtue of their valuable contributions in the field

FOR TANTO,

in use of its Constitutional faculties and on the initiative of the Deputy Lorena Guadalupe Peña Mendoza.

DECCRETA:

Art. 1.-Declare the artist Nicole Maryse Levy de Schwartz, "NOTABLE PAINTER AND TEACHER

DE EL SALVADOR", by virtue of her valuable contributions in the cultural field in our country.

Art. 2.-This Decree shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the Official Journal.
