DECREE NO 309

THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR,

CONSIDERING:

I.-That on November 10, 2015, the Administrative Commission of the Free Trade Agreement between the Republic of China (Taiwan) and the Republics of El Salvador and Honduras, adopted Decision No. 6, by means of which agrees to amend the quota set out in paragraph 2 (c) of the Annex for the Republic of El Salvador 3.04 "Tariff Relief Program", to increase the limit to ten thousand metric tons of the refined sugar quota, maintaining the annual sugar quota at the original level of sixty thousand metric tons.

II. On 10 November 2015, the Administrative Commission of the Free Trade Agreement between the Republic of China (Taiwan) and the Republics of El Salvador and Honduras adopted Decision No 7, by means of which it is agreed to amend Annex 3.04 The Republic of China (Taiwan) for the Republic of El Salvador and the Republic of Honduras, as regards certain noni products, immediately eliminating the customs duties applicable to these products, so that the goods originating in the Republic of El Salvador and Honduras may enter the Republic of China (Taiwan) free of customs duties.

III.-That the Instruments referred to in the previous recitals have been approved, respectively, by Executive Agreements Nos. 174/2016 and 175/2016, both of 3 February 2016 and subject to consideration by this Legislative Assembly for its ratification.

IV. These Decisions do not contain any provisions contrary to the Constitution, and their ratification is appropriate.

BY TANTO,

in use of the power established in Art. 131, Ordinary 7th of the Constitution in relation to Art. 168, Ordinal 4th of the same, and at the initiative of the President of the Republic, through the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

DECCRETA:

Art. 1.-The following Instruments are ratified in all parts:

a) Decision No 6, signed in the Chinese, English and Spanish languages, all versions being equally authentic, adopted on 10 November 2015 by the Commission Administrator of the Free Trade Agreement between the Republic of China (Taiwan) and the Republics of El Salvador and Honduras, in accordance with Article 14.01 (2) (c) and (3) (e) of that Treaty, by means of which it is agreed to amend for

Republic of El Salvador the quota set out in paragraph 2 literal (c) of Annex 3.04 "Tariff Relief Program", to increase the limit to ten thousand metric tons of the refined sugar quota, keeping the annual sugar quota at the original level of sixty thousand metric tons, to be exported from the Republic of El Salvador to the Republic of China (Taiwan) each year; approved by the Authority Executive by Agreement N ° 174/2016 of 3 February 2016; and,

b) Decision No 7, signed in the Chinese, English and Spanish languages, all versions being equally authentic, adopted on 10 November 2015, by the Commission Administrator of the Free Trade Agreement between the Republic of China (Taiwan) and the Republics of El Salvador and Honduras, in accordance with the provisions of Art. 14.01 (3) (b) (ii) of that Treaty, and by means of which it is agreed to amend Annex 3.04 The Republic of China (Taiwan) Disgravitation Program for the Republic of El Salvador and the Republic of Honduras, as regards certain products of noni (Morinda citrifolia), eliminating immediately the customs duties applicable to these products, so that the goods originating in the Republics of El Salvador and Honduras may enter the Republic of China (Taiwan) free of customs duties; approved by the Executive Body, by Agreement N ° 175/2016 of 3 February 2016.

Art. 2.-This Decree shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the Official Journal.
