DECREE NO 320

THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR,

CONSIDERING:

I.-That in accordance with Article 131, Ordinary 22 ° of the Constitution of the Republic, it is the faculty of this State Body, to grant to persons or

populations, titles, honorary distinctions and gratifications, compatible with the form of government established, for relevant services provided to the Homeland.

II.-That article 6, literal c) of the Law of Honorific Distances, Gratitude and Titles, establishes that the honorable and Distinguished or Distinguished distinctions, in their order of relevance, may be awarded to Salvadoran people

or foreign residents, when the services or contributions that have been provided to the Homeland, are related to the dissemination and exploitation of science, art, culture, education and sport or any other another form of service

altruistic or collective; in such a way that it represents an undeniable benefit for the Salvadoran State or its inhabitants.

III.-That Mr. Esteban Atilio Munguía, has been a tireless promoter of culture

and art, highlighting in the National Plastic as a painter, graphic designer and cartoonist, becoming a real instrument of social, educational and moral expression of our society.

IV.-That during his artistic career Mr. Esteban Atilio Munguía has made important publications such as the case of his work "Personalities collection

2013" as well as important unpublished works among which you can to mention: "Parliamentary Face" and "Great Inventors and Presidents of the United States", having a prominent performance in important exhibitions

national and contributing to increase the cultural and artistic heritage of the society

V.-That talent and actions for the benefit of the population of Mr. Esteban Atilio Munguía, make it worthy of a recognition that rewards its humanistic qualities, its spiritual values and its effort to improve culture of the

Salvadorans, in reason of which, it is appropriate to grant the Honorific of "DISTINGUISHED ARTIST OF EL SALVADOR", Salvadoran citizen Esteban Atilio Munguía, in recognition of his valuable contribution to the arts

of El Salvador, which benefits national identity and culture.

POR TANTO,

in use of its Constitutional powers and at the initiative of the Deputies and the Diputados: Lucia del Carmen Ayala de León, José Edgar Escolan Batse, and Silvia Estela Ostorga de Escobar; and with the support of the Deputy Maytee Gabriela Iraheta Escalante and the Deputy Gerardo Estanislao Menjívar Hernández.

DECCRETA:

Art. 1.-The Salvadoran citizen Esteban Atilio Munguía was declared "DISTINGUISHED ARTIST OF EL SALVADOR", in recognition of his valuable contribution to the plastic arts of El Salvador, which benefits national identity and culture.

Art. 2. This Decree will enter into force eight days after its publication in the Official Journal.
