DECREE NO 345
THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR,
CONSIDERING:
I.-That the AGAPE Association of El Salvador, is a charitable institution of character
social, cultural, Christian, apolitical and non-profit, whose objectives, among others, are to protect and help everyone in need, especially the elderly, children and young people.
II.-What for the achievement of their objectives will hold the event called "19 BANQUET OF LOVE", to be held on May 18 of this year, whose
income will be destined to cover the costs of the social programs that the Association serves.
III. According to the powers conferred upon this Legislative Assembly by the Constitution of the Republic, it is appropriate to exonerate the payment of taxes, including municipal taxes, that may be caused by this activity.
THEREFORE,
in use of its Constitutional powers and at the initiative of the Deputies Santos Adelmo Rivas
Rivas, Lorena Guadalupe Peña Mendoza, Ana Vilma Albanez de Escobar, Guillermo Antonio Gallegos Navarrete, José Francisco Merino López, Carmen Elena Calderón de Escalón, Norma Fidelia Guevara de Ramírios, Maytee Gabriela Iraheta Escalante, Rolando Mata Fuentes, Silvia Estela Ostorga de Escobar,
Rodolfo Antonio Parker Soto, Mario Antonio Ponce Lopez, Donato Eugenio Vaquerano Rivas and Guadalupe Antonio Vasquez Martinez.
DECCRETA:
Art. 1.-The AGAPE Association of El Salvador will be exempt from the payment of tax, including the municipal
except for the Tax on the Transfer of Furniture and Services (VAT), which may cause the event to be held "19 BANQUET OF LOVE", which will be held on May 18 of this year, at the premises of the Hacienda de los Miranda.
The exemption granted is without prejudice to the surveillance and control to be exercised by the respective tax bodies. Likewise, the representatives of the aforementioned Association, must present to this
Assembly within 30 days after the event, a duly audited report on the income obtained and the distribution of the same.
Art. 2.-This Decree shall enter into force from the day of its publication in the Official Journal.
