DECREE N ° 369

THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR,

CONSIDERING:

I.-That in accordance with Article 131, Ordinary 22 ° of the Constitution of the Republic, it is the faculty of this State Body, to grant to persons or

populations, titles, honorary distinctions and gratifications, compatible with the form of government established, for relevant services provided to the Homeland.

II.-That article 6, literal c) of the Law of Honorific Distances, Gratitude and Titles, establishes that the honorable and Distinguished or Distinguished distinctions, in their order of relevance, may be awarded to Salvadoran people

or foreign residents, when the services or contributions that have been provided to the Homeland, are related to the dissemination and exploitation of science, art, culture, education and sport or any other another form of service

altruistic or collective; in such a way that it represents an undeniable benefit for the Salvadoran State or its inhabitants.

III. That the citizen Felipe Candido Romero, a sociologist, originally from the Municipality of

Apastepeque of the Department of San Vicente, who passed away on March 7, 2014, from a young age was recognized as a student and whose dedication in the study, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit, earned recognition for

to be chosen among the two best students in El Salvador to represent them in Honduras-Tegucigalpa, in the only and most important National Teaching Center, the High School of the "Francisco Morazan" Teacher,

in which he chose the specialty In the first promotion of this center, he graduated in 1959 from Letras and Social Sciences; likewise, his wishes for improvement led him to pursue his studies achieving the Bachelor's Degree in

Sociology at the University of El Salvador in 1968.

IV.-That the effort and dedication shown throughout his career, allowed him

to perform in different positions, as a primary teacher, teacher and instructor in different Universities of El Salvador; Coordinator with the Director of the Teaching Baccalaureate of Normal City, a position with which

introduced to the teaching career to many young people of Apastepeque; Program of Sociology of Education of the Ministry of Education; Child Protective Body; Council Pedagogue

El Salvador de Minors; Head of the Technical Training Section of the Salvadoran Council of Minors; Head of Internal Programs of the Salvadoran Council of Minors; and his last job as the Coordinator of the Teaching Career at the

University of Sonsonate.

V. Felipe Candido Romero received many recognitions for his merits and contributions to the country, among which can be mentioned: Medal of

Honour of the City of Apastepeque in the year of 1964; Nomination of the Promotion of Third Cycle of Apastepeque in 1970; Medal "Gonzalo Pérez

Apastepeque1988"; Son Meritisimo of the City of Apastepeque in 2008 "Social, Educational and Religious Labor in Apastepeque"; so also, was founder of the day 23 of July of the Magisterium Apastepecano; President of the Magisterium Directive

Apastepecano; President of the Barrio El Calvario Directive; Chairman of the Construction Committee of the present Community House; and Chairman of the Celebration Committee of the 75 years of appointment of City Apastepeque.

VI.- To grant the post mortem Honorific Distinction of "Distinguished Citizen of El Salvador," to Don Felipe Candido

Romero, in recognition of his invaluable contributions to human knowledge, which has represented a benefit for the Republic of El Salvador.

DECRETA:

Art. 1.-Declare the teacher Felipe Candido Romero, "Distinguished Citizen of El Salvador", post mortem, in recognition of his invaluable contributions to human knowledge, which has represented

a benefit for the Republic of El Salvador.

Art. 2. This Decree shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the Official Journal

.
