THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR,
CONSIDERING:
I. That by Legislative Decree No. 193 dated November 26, 2015, published in the
Official Journal No. 231, Volume No. 409 of December 15 of the same year, the Wage Law was voted on
for the Fiscal Financial Year 2016.
II. That the National Institute of Sports of El Salvador, in order to strengthen institutional management
to achieve more efficiently the institutional goals, needs to implement an adjustment
salary for the staff appointed under The Wage Law System, which mostly
comprises technical, administrative, general services and headquarters personnel.
III. That the purpose of wage levelling is to meet the objective of establishing a
fair and equitable remuneration for all employees, who face new challenges
strategies established within the Five-Year Plan of
Development 2014-2019, related to sports programs that foster coexistence and the
culture of peace, as well as the prevention of violence.
IV. That in order to make cash the salary adjustment referred to for 132 places of the Wage Law and
increase the amount of the annual Class Hours, it becomes necessary to reform the Law of Salaries
in force of 2016, in the corresponding to the National Sports Institute of El Salvador.
FOR TANTO,
in use of its Constitutional powers and on the initiative of the President of the Republic, through the
Minister of Finance.
DECRETA:
Art. 1.-In the current Wage Law, Section II-SALARIES WITH APPLICATION TO BUDGETS
SPECIAL DECENTRALIZED INSTITUTIONS NON-BUSINESS AND PUBLIC ENTERPRISES, in the
part corresponding to the 0501 National Institute of Sports of El Salvador, replacing the Law of
Salaries, by the following:

Diets to the Members of the Steering Committee at the rate of $50.00 for each session to attend, without
no member can earn for this concept more than $200.00 per month, even if the number of

sessions to attend in the month is greater than four. The alternate members will be entitled to daily allowance of
$25.00 per session to attend, without being able to earn for such a concept more than $100.00
monthly, even if the number of sessions to attend is greater than four.

Art. 2.-The resources necessary to finance this reform amount to an amount of
US$ 100,125.00 which will be financed with the budgetary allocations available in the Rubro 54
Procurement of Goods and Services of the National Sports Institute of El Salvador, in the Law of
Current Budget.

Art. 3.-This Decree will enter into force from the day of its publication in the Official Journal.
