This shall be the subject of the law. 91 of 9. February, 2011, on the team of carca-turkeys with the changes resulting from paragraph 2 of Law No 1. 1459 of 17. December, 2013.

Chapter 1

Scope and so on

§ 1. The rules of this Act shall apply to holdings with slaughter turkeys for commercial purposes.

Paragraph 2. The law shall not apply to slaughter turkeys which are used in the course of technical and scientific studies carried out under the supervision of the Animal Test Tour.

Paragraph 3. The Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries 1) may, in exceptional cases, exempt holdings or crew of carabatal turkeys from the law.

§ 2. For the purposes of slaughteral turkeys, this law is the turkeys which is kept for slaughter for use for human consumption.

§ 3. On the side of the rules of this Act, animal protection laws and rules laid down in accordance with animal protection laws shall apply to any holding for slaughter turkeys.

§ 4. The rules of this law are minimum requirements that must always be met unless stricter requirements are laid down in other legislation.

§ 5. The Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries may lay down rules for the implementation of the European Union directives and decisions on the sound treatment of slaughter turkeys and the protection of the welfare of these animals. The Minister may also lay down rules which are necessary for the application of the European Union regulations relating to matters covered by this law ; the Minister may lay down rules on the deviation of the rules laid down in the acts referred to in 1. and 2. pkton, to the extent that they contain access to this.

Chapter 2

Physical conditions on the holding

§ 6. Where there is cardable turkeys, the turkeys must be sufficiently informed that the turkeys can see the other turkeys, examine the surrings and display normal behaviour, and ensure that the turkeys can be monitored closely.

Paragraph 2. A sound programme shall be used to ensure a rhythm of the turkeys with a sufficient and coherent period of coverage to meet their behavioural and physiological needs ; the ring and the mold must be impersonated by means of a transition between light and dark ; it shall be sufficient for the turkeys to be able to adjust to the changing conditions of light.

Paragraph 3. The Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries may lay down detailed rules on the composition and the duration of light and dark times, of candlelight and imitation foaming and mutiny.

§ 7. The maximum stocking in a carcase where slaughter turkeys are kept shall not exceed 58 kg live weight per m 2 free area of cocks and 52 kg live weight per unit. m 2 the area of crops for harvesting.

Paragraph 2. The average stocking in a house shall not exceed 55 kg live weight per year. m 2 free area of male and 48 kilograms of live weight per unit. m 2 the area of crops for harvesting. The average stocking density in a house is measured as the average stocking for the current hold and the two ex-ante caritable turkeys in the same house.

Paragraph 3. The Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries may lay down rules that the manufacturer must provide further information to be provided for the use of the stocking density.

§ 8. Where meat is kept for slaughter, during the whole production period, they shall have a stocking of power and dry on the surface.

§ 9. In buildings where slaughter can be kept, insulation, heating and ventilation must ensure that air circulation, dust content, temperature, relative humidity and concentrations of gases must be kept at a level which is not harmful to the turkeys. During warm periods, the temperature of the buildings must not exceed the temperature of the outside material.

Paragraph 2. The Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries may lay down detailed rules on air circulation, dust content, temperature, humidity and concentrations of air species.

§ 10. Ventilators, feed machines and other machinery must be designed, installed, operated and maintained in such a way as to cause at least possible noise. All of a sudden, external noise must be avoided as far as possible.

Chapter 3

Foot and drinking water

§ 11. Turkeys must have access to sufficient, nutritional, balanced and hygienic feed every day and adequate supplies of fresh water of good quality at all times. Any changes that could be harmful to the turkeys of the type or quality of feed used in the feeding procedures should be avoided unless there is an emergency situation.

Paragraph 2. Turkeys must be allocated to crinse flint throughout the production process. However, such allocation may be omitted from the last week before slaughter.

Paragraph 3. The Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries may lay down detailed rules on the capacity and design of animal feed and beverages.

Chapter 4

Supervision, etc.

§ 12. Turkeys must be viewed at least twice a day. Turkeys, which are sick and injured in such a degree that treatment is no longer possible and transport will lead to further suffering, must be put down immediately. Dead turkeys must be removed immediately.

Paragraph 2. Technical installations for fodder, water, temperature-controlled and ventilation and the quality of the stockings must be complied with at least once a day.

§ 13. Buildings and inens where slaughter turkeys are kept and equipment, including irrigation equipment, must be kept satisfactorily clean.

Paragraph 2. The components of the buildings, equipment and tools to which turkeys are in contact must be cleaned thoroughly and disinfected before a new flock is inserted.

§ 14. Electrical systems of importance to the health and welfare of the animals must be provided with an alarm system to ensure that it is detected if the electrical systems do not work. The alarm system must be tested on a regular basis.

Paragraph 2. There must be a contingency plan providing for how emergency power failures are to be handled.

§ 15. The Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries may lay down rules on how to lift turkeys and beares.

Chapter 4 a

Mandatory digital communication

§ 15 a. The Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries may lay down rules on written communications to and from the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries concerning matters covered by this law or by rules issued under this law, shall : conducted digitally.

Paragraph 2. The Minister may lay down detailed rules on digital communications, including the use of specific IT systems, special digital formats and digital signature. Equine.

Chapter 5

Poopenings and penalties.

§ 16. In the event of a breach of the rules laid down in this law or rules laid down pursuant to this law, an authority may, under the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries, invite the holding within a fixed deadline to rectify the conditions laid down by the Ministry of the Food and Fisheries of the Community, are not in accordance with those rules.

§ 17. The Minister may also lay down rules on the submission of complaints, including the requirements for the complaint.

§ 18. With fine or imprisonment for four months, the person failing to comply with an injunction after paragraph 16 shall be penalised.

Paragraph 2. In the rules issued under this law, penalties may be imposed on the penalty of fine or imprisonment up to four months for infringement of the rules.

Chapter 6

Entry into force

§ 19. The law shall enter into force on 1. January 2012.
