Annunciation of confidentiality of complaints by the Maritime Management Board
In accordance with section 20 (a), 3, in the law on safety at sea, cf. Law Order no. 654 of 15. June 2010, as amended by law no. 1384 of 23. December 2012, determined by authority :
§ 1. Stock of seafarers ' working life and living conditions on board the vessel for the Maritime Maritime Service shall be treated as confidential and shall not allow the holder or employer or their representatives to inform the shipowner or their representatives that an inspection of a ship is carried out ; as a result of such a complaint.
Paragraph 2. The Maritime Management Board must in connection with the treatment of a complaint received from a crew member 1) , not to inform the shipowner, the employer or their representatives, who have lodged the complaint.
§ 2. The announcement will enter into force on the 20th. August, 2013.
