Law on the amendment of the establishment of a Committee on the defence and police intelligence services of the defence

We, by God's grace, the Queen of the Danes, do our thing.

The parliament has adopted the following law, and we know that the following law has been approved by Parliament's consent :

§ 1

Law no. 378 of 6. In July 1988 on the establishment of a committee on the defence and police intelligence services, the following changes are made :

1. § 2 is hereby repealed and the following shall be inserted :

" § 2. The government gives the committee an annual report on the activities of the secret services.

Paragraph 2. The government keeps the committee informed of significant circumstances of a security nature or on foreign policy issues which are of relevance to the activities of the secret services.

Paragraph 3. The Government gives information to the committee ' s request for information on the activities of the intelligence services, including statistical information.

Paragraph 4. The Committee may ask the Minister of Justice and Defence Minister to ensure that the managers of the police and defence services of the police and defence services are present in the context of a committee meeting in order to answer questions.

Paragraph 5. In addition to the issuing of guidelines for the activities of the intelligence services, the Government shall inform the committee of the content of these. Submission of essential new tasks to the Police Intelligence Service must also be done in accordance with the notification of the committee.

Paragraph 6. In addition to the publication of the annual statement, which the Police Intelligence Service is giving out on its business, cf. Section 2 of the Law Intelligence Service, the government shall submit this to the Committee.

Paragraph 7. The governmental orientation of the Committee shall be taking into account the specific characteristics of which they are in service.

§ 2 a. Expiration of members of the Oversight with the Intelligence Services, cf. Paragraph 16 of the Law of the Police Office, with the exception of the President-in-Office, after discussion with the Committee.

Paragraph 2. The Government shall submit the annual statement to the Committee prior to the publication of the Committee, in accordance with the provisions of the Intelligence Service, in accordance with its activities. Section 22 of the Law of Police Intelligence and Section 19 of the Defense Intelligence Agency.

Paragraph 3. The Government shall inform the Committee if a recommendation from the Oversight of Intelligence Services is not followed. `

2. I § 3 pasted as paragraph 2 :

" Stop. 2. The Committee may give a report to Parliament on its business, including on the issues that have been dealt with in committee. The report may be published. '

3. I § 4 pasted as Three. Point. :

The Government shall also inform the Committee on the annual budget of the secret services. ` ;

§ 2

The law shall enter into force on 1. January 2014.
