Law amending the road traffic law
(The trial scheme on local enforcement of provisions on bicycle parking)
WE, MARGRETHE the SECOND, by the grace of God Queen of Denmark, do indeed:
The Danish Parliament has adopted and we know Our consent confirmed the following law:
In the highway code, see. lovbekendtgørelse nr. 1055 by 9. November 2012, as amended most recently by § 1 of lov nr. 565 of 18. June 2012, is amended as follows: 1. Pursuant to section 92 (d) is inserted before the heading before section 93: ' § 92 (e). The Minister may, when there is traffic security securely, after consultation with the police permit municipal councils in their capacity as vejbestyrelse or vejmyndighed to carry out temporally and geographically limited trials with enforcement of rules about bike parking provided for under section 92 (1). 1, and marked in accordance with rules laid down under section 95, by which the municipality can move an illegally parked bicycle to a specified area in the vicinity, which have universal access.
(2). The move can be made without notification to the bike's owner or user. It must by clear signage on the ground indicate that an illegally parked bicycle could be moved, and to which the transfer will happen. By the municipality's decision to move an illegally parked bicycle in connection with trials as referred to in paragraph 1 shall not apply section 19 of the Act of governance.
(3). The Minister may set conditions for the approval of experimental schemes pursuant to paragraph 1.
(4). Request for authorisation for trials submitted by the Municipal Council to the Ministry of Justice, accompanied by a detailed description of the experiment. '
§ 2 the law shall enter into force on the 1. March 2013.
