WE, MARGRETHE the SECOND, by the grace of God Queen of Denmark, do indeed:

The Danish Parliament has adopted and we know Our consent confirmed the following law:

§ 1

In Act No. 269 of 21. April 2004 on prohibition of slaughter and killing of pregnant animals and horses in the last tenth of gestation is amended as follows: 1. Article 2, paragraphs 2 to 4 shall be deleted and replaced by: ' (2). Slaughter pursuant to paragraph 1 shall be carried out by a veterinarian or by a person under its supervision.

(3). The Minister of food, agriculture and fisheries may lay down detailed rules on the handling of embryos in connection with the slaughter of pregnant animals and horses in the last tenth of the gestation period, see. (1). ';

§ 2 the law shall enter into force on the 1. January 2013.
