Law on the amendment of the Law of the Church of the People's Church, the service and the sogs solution

(The right of the minister to waive two persons of the same sex and other persons)

We, by God's grace, the Queen of the Danes, do our thing.

The parliament has adopted the following law, and we know that the following law has been approved by Parliament's consent :

§ 1

In the Law of the Church of the Church, the service and the parishioners solution, cf. Law Order no. 572 of 17. In June 2009, the following changes are made :

1. The following section 7 is inserted :

" § 7 a. A priest can't marry two people of the same sex.

Paragraph 2. "A priest may waifer the blessing of a marriage between two people of the same sex."

§ 2

The law shall enter into force on the 15th. June 2012.

§ 3

The law does not apply to the Faroe Islands and Greenland.
