ClassificationCenter (KC)

The classification of pigs shall be classified by means of the ' Classification centre ' (KC).

The device is equipped with 9 probes, each diameter of 6 mm and each with a fluorodiode of Siemens SFH 950-LD 242 II or equivalent), a photodiode (Siemens SFH 960-BP 103 or equivalent) and a depth application of between 1 and 180 mm. The results of the measurements shall be converted into the estimated content of meagre meat by means of a central data processing unit.

The content of the pig body of the megert meat shall be calculated on the basis of 10 measurements carried out in seven measurement points, as set out in paragraph 1. 4, and in accordance with the following formula :

I = 70,5489-0,1572 x1-0,1698 x2-0,1537 x3-0,1803 x4-0,2115 x5-0,1669 x6-0,1269 x7-0,1269 x7-0,0234 x8 x8 + 0,0234 x9 + 0,0371 x10

= calculated content of megert meat in the percentage of pigmeat,

The measuring points are :

x1 = thickness of the class, including severe in mm, measured at the centre of the third cervical vertebrae, 10,5 cm next to the centre line of the pigmeat

x2 = thickness of the spread, including severe in mm, measured at the centre of the fourth cervical vertebrae, 7 cm beside the centre line of the pigmeat

x3 = thickness of the spread, including severe in mm, measured between fourth and fifth-grade thoracic vertebrae, three centimeters next to the centre line of the pigmeat

x4 = thickness of the spread, including severe in mm, measured between the second and third-rear chest vertebrae, 7 cm next to the centre line of the pigmeat

x5 = the thickness of the spread, including severe in mm, measured between the first lumbar and rear chest vertebra, 6 cm next to the centre line of the pigmeat

x6 = thickness of thickness in mm, measured 4 cm in front of the edge of the shade, seven cm next to the centre line of the pigmeat
