The full text of the Ordinance on detailed rules for vehicles, furnishings and equipment

Under section 68, paragraph 1, and section 118, paragraph 8, in the highway code, see. lovbekendtgørelse nr. 984 of 5. October 2009, as well as under the authority pursuant to section 2, paragraph 1, of Decree No. 1699 by 19. December 2006 on the Road Agency's functions and powers, and in accordance with § 44 of Decree No. 154 of 20. April 1977om vehicles, furnishings and equipment, etc., and section 25 of Ordinance No. 530 of 29. May 1996 on furnishings and equipment for tractors and motor tools, etc., as amended by Decree No. 247 of 7. April 2005, lays down: § 1. Vehicles that are registered, approved or put into service for the first time on the effective date or later, see. However, paragraph 2, shall comply with the provisions of annex 1. Any vehicle can be organized in accordance with the notice immediately, however.

(2). The provisions on noise approved tires in annex 1, section 8.02.020 (5) and section 8.02.110 (3), however, will enter into force during the period from the 1. October 2009 to the 1. October 2011 as stated in the provisions.

(3). The provisions on noise approved tires in annex 1, section 8.02.020 (5) and section 8.02.110 (3), shall apply also for vehicle which is first registered the 1. October 1980 or later, as listed in the regulations.

(4). In annex 4 for a list of notices on vehicles, furnishings and equipment, which laid down provisions which also apply to older vehicles.

Optionel harmonisation



§ 2. A vehicle and equipment intended for vehicles approved cannot be denied on the ground that it does not meet the Danish provisions on vehicles, furnishings and equipment, provided that the vehicle respectively the equipment is approved in accordance with a Community directive or regulation with the corresponding EC provisions.

Total harmonisation for the car and trailer trailers



§ 3. Equipment fitted on EC type-approved car and trailer trailers covered by EC Directive 2007/46/EC (formerly 70/156/EEC) concerning the approval of motor vehicles and their trailers covered by Annex IV, shall be approved in accordance with the Community directives referred to in this annex, the Community regulations or ECE regulations. In annex 5 of the Executive order on a list of equipment on EC type-approved passenger car M1, which must be approved in accordance with EC-directives, the Community regulations or ECE regulations.

(2). For cars with trailers apply also the provisions for EC type-approval laid down in the traffic Agency's announcement on the approval and inspection of vehicles.

Total harmonisation for two-and three-wheeled motor vehicles



§ 4. Standard approved vehicle covered by EC Directive 2002/24/EC relating to the type-approval of two-or three-wheeled motor vehicles shall fulfil the technical requirements of the EC directives referred to in annex 6 or ECE regulations. Equipment mounted on such vehicle, and which are included in annex 6, must be approved in accordance with the EC directives listed in the annex or ECE regulations. The same applies in the case of equipment fitted on EC type-approved vehicle covered by EC Directive 2002/24/EC (formerly 92/61/EEC).

(2). This provision applies-from the individual directives (regulations) set out the date of vehicle standard type approved on that date or later, and for equipment mounted on such vehicle or on EC type-approved vehicles, and which are placed on the market for the first time in this country at this date or later.

(3). The provision applies in addition-four years after the for each directive (regulations) set out the date for the vehicle to be registered or put into service for the first time on this date or later, regardless of the date of its approval, and for equipment mounted on such vehicle or on EC type-approved vehicle, regardless of the date of the first marketing of the equipment.

(4). For two-and three-wheeled motor vehicles apply also the provisions for EC type-approval laid down in the traffic Agency's announcement on the approval and inspection of vehicles.

§ 5. Equipment fitted on EC type approved tractor covered by EC Directive 2003/37/EC on type-approval of wheeled agricultural or forestry tractors and their trailers covered by Annex 7 shall be approved in accordance with the EC directives listed in the annex or ECE regulations.

(2). For tractors also applies to the provisions for EC type-approval laid down in the traffic Agency's announcement on the approval and inspection of vehicles.

Punishment, etc.



§ 6. Violation of the Executive order on requirements for vehicles, furnishings and equipment is punishable by a fine.

Entry into force, etc.



§ 7. The notice shall enter into force on the 2. April 2010.

1. General information

1.01 the annex building

1.01.001 Number system

(1) the requirements set out in the annex is set out in a number system, in which each number consists of three digit groups: a) 1. Group of numbers (one or two digits) is the main section.

1.01.003 subdivision

1.01.004 Retail requirements

(1) the numbering of the retail prescriptions covers two types of retail prescriptions: a) Numbers 001-009 denotes retail regulations of a general nature for components or systems that are contained in the section.

1.04 Definitions axle load:

The pressure is transmitted to the road by the wheels on an axle.

Automatic load-dependent brake force control (ALB):

The adjustment device which automatically regulates brake force/braking force distribution to vehicle load.

Brake fading:

Reduction of a vehicle's braking performance at the very hot performance.

Transmission:

The combination of parts that exist between the control device and the brake. If the braking force is derived in whole or in part from a source of energy independent of the driver but controlled by him, the energy storage device shall be considered as a part of the transmission.

Chip tuning:

By chip tuning means changes to the factory specified electronic engine management, including replacing and reprogramming of the engine management or manipulation of signals to and from the motor control.

Updating the engine management, as specified by the vehicle manufacturer, is not regarded as chip tuning.

Braking rate:

Ratio between gravitational acceleration and deceleration. The braking rate (d0) can be determined as the ratio between the total braking force and total weight for trailers of centre-axle trailer, type as well as in the case of semi-trailers, however, as the ratio between the total braking force and total static axle load.

Dolly:

By dolly means a trailer with rigid drawbar, which is meant to be traction of the semi-trailer.

Unladen weight: the weight of the vehicle with accessories, as the vehicle normally entails. The weight of the operating funds, including fuel, lubricating oil and cooling water, as well as leads are not included for the specific weight.

In fact, total weight:

The vehicle's instantaneous weight with operating funds, driver and cargo.

Dangerous goods:

The substances and articles covered by the Ministry of Justice Ordinance on the transport of dangerous goods.

Preceding management:

Payload:

The difference between the maximum authorised weight and service weight.

The r-point of the seat:

Reference point defined by the vehicle manufacturer and which correspond to the theoretical torque point of torso/thighs, when seat is placed in the lowest and most rearward normal driving position or position of use as indicated by the manufacturer.

Great volumendæk: Tyres of dimension 14.00 (385) R 24 or greater, or tires of dimension 445/65 R 22.5 or greater.

Steered axle:

As the steering shaft on the motor vehicle shall be deemed to be the axle, on which there is a direct connection between the steering (steering wheel) and the wheels.

Steering transmission:

Steering transmission is the part of the Steering, there is between the steering control and the steered wheels. Source of energy for the power steering is not regarded as being part of the transmission.

Tank container:

Transport device intended for repeated use and designed so that it can be lifted in filled condition, and which is designed for liquid, gaseous, powdery and granular substances and having a capacity of more than 0.45 m3.

Off-road car:

Car which is off-road as defined in EC Directive 2007/46/EC.

Allowed load

The difference between the allowed total weight and weight.

Permitted gross vehicle weight

The registration or approval permissible maximum weight of the vehicle with operating funds, driver and cargo.

Service weight

The weight of the vehicle with accessories, which usually results in the vehicle, as well as fully optanket with operating funds and Inc. the driver (75 kg).

For motor vehicle service is thus equal to the weight specific weight plus the weight of the operating funds plus 75 kg.

Top speed

A power-driven vehicle maximum design speed.

Total weight

The vehicle's instantaneous weight with operating funds, leads and cargo (actual total weight), or the registration or approval permissible maximum weight of the vehicle with operating funds, leads and last (permissible maximum weight).

Air suspension or equivalent suspension systems, as defined in annex II to Council Directive No. 96/53/EC.

2. identification and markings

2.01 Identification 2.01.001 General provisions (1) the registration-only vehicle, tractor, sidecar motorcycles, motor-powered flatbed truck and flatbed truck shall be equipped with the manufacturer's name or trademark and in terms of vehicle type designation and chassis number. (5) Mandatory marking may only be affixed (a)) by the manufacturer,



(b)) of the manufacturer's representative,



(c)) of, or under the control of – a vision company or



(d)) of, or under the control of – an insurance company claims adjuster in accordance with provisions from the Tax Ministry.

(6) It is not allowed to change the required labelling.

(7) there must be no such markings shall be affixed on a vehicle there by their form, content or the manner in which they are placed, can be confused with mandatory labelling.

2.01.040 Moped

(1) two-wheel moped must be fitted with a plate in accordance with EC-Directive 93/34/EEC as amended by Directive 1999/25/EC.

2.01.042 Small moped

(1) Manufacturing the plate should contain the number of the EC type-approval of the vehicle (eX XXX) or approval (DK-K-XXX).

2.02 Inscriptions relating to the permissible gross vehicle weight, cargo, etc.

2.02.200 Combination

Inscription or sign must be designed as the example in Fig. e, if the car has vejvenlig suspension of driving axle, and Fig. f, if the car does not have vejvenlig-suspension for driving axle. The shapes listed dimensions indicates minimum size.



(4) For the trailer O3 and O4 (apart from dolly) and outboard tool on the chassis to such trailer applies: a) the vehicle must be fitted with the drawbar on the inscription or sign indicating its coupling length.

b) On axle trailer and outboard tool of centre-axle trailer type, inscription or divorced also specify the vehicle's V-values.

2.02.362 tow truck

3.01.001 General provisions (1) permissible axle load, load and maximum permissible weight must not exceed the vehicle manufacturer guaranteed, technically permissible.

(2) in connection with the provisions on the axle and gross vehicle weight shall be deemed, if distance between axles is less than 1.00 m, as one axle.

(3) the Permitted axle load must not exceed 10000 kg.

(4) For the vehicle, which is equipped with smooth rollers, must not exceed the permissible axle load 10 kg per mm of non-contact surface width.

(8) For the vehicle, in whole or in part is fitted with belts, have allowed total weight does not exceed 4000 kg per m of the distance between the front and rear running scroll, up to a maximum of 16000 kg.

3.01.010 Motor vehicle

(1) permitted gross vehicle weight must be at least 20% of which rest on the steering axles.

(2) For motor vehicle with two axles must not exceed the permissible maximum weight of the 18000 kg.

(3) For motor vehicle with three axles must not exceed the maximum permissible laden weight

24000 kg, see. However, paragraph 3.01.023 (1).

(4) in the case of power-driven vehicle with four or more axles must not exceed the permissible maximum weight of 29500 kg.

(5) in the case of power-driven vehicle with four or more axles, of which the two front axles are steered and has a wheelbase not exceeding 2.50 m, and on which the distance between the vehicle's front and rear axle is 5.00 m or more, and the distance between the first and second axle of the vehicle is less than the distance between the second and third axle, the permissible gross vehicle weight may be up to 32000 kg.

(6) For two-axle bogies, the total permissible load shall not exceed

16000 kg, if the wheelbase is less than 2.00 m, but not less than 1.00 m.

If the wheelbase is less than 1.30 m, also applies to: – drive shaft shall be provided with twin-mounted tire and vejvenlig suspension, or



– the individual axle permissible axle load must not exceed 8000 kg.

(7) in paragraph (5) referred to vehicles with two-axle bogies, the total permissible mass on the axle in the bogie be until 19000 kg if the wheelbase is less than 2.00 m, but not less than 1.30 m, and the axles are fitted with twin-mounted tyres and – vejvenlig suspension or



– the individual axle permissible axle does not exceed 9500 kg.

(8) For bogey with three axles must the permissible axle load for each axle does not exceed 8000 kg.

The total permissible load must not exceed 22000 kg, if only one of the mutually axle distances are less than 1.30 m.

(9) The test specified in paragraph 3.01.001 (3) and above under paragraph (2)-(8) set out provisions on permissible axle load and total weight does not apply to any motor vehicle used as traction for flatbed truck.

3.01.020 Bil1)

(1) Permitted driving akseltryk can be until 11500 kg, if the driving axle is fitted with twin tyres fitted and vejvenlig suspension.

3.01.023 passenger car M3
(1) For articulated bus with three axles must not exceed the permissible maximum laden weight 28000 kg, and for articulated bus with four or more axles must not exceed the permissible maximum weight of 34000 kg.

3.01.030 motorcycle

(1) service weight must be at least 25% of which rest on the front wheel/front wheels.

(2) For the two-wheel motorcycle, as well as without personal sidevogn as well as for three-wheel motorcycle shall be by personal service with the addition of 75 kg weight per passenger of at least 25% of which rest on the front wheel/front wheels.

(3) For the two-wheel motorcycle with item sidevogn and three-wheel motorcycle item must by allowed total weight not less than 25% of which rest on the front wheel/front wheels.

3.01.041 Great moped

(1) For registration person moped including rules for motorcycle.

3.01.042 Small moped

(1) service weight must be at least 25% of which rest on the front wheel.

1) Car may only in international traffic overloaded as indicated in paragraph 3.01.020.

(2) For item moped also apply at the maximum gross vehicle weight must be at least 25% of which rest on the front wheel.

3.01.050 Tractor

(1) actual total weight must be at least 20% of which rest on the steered wheels.

3.01.060 Motor tool

(1) For motor tool applies the rules of tractor.

(2) the rules about weight on the steered wheels shall not, however, apply to forklifts that meet the Danish working environment service's notice on arrangement of technical AIDS.

3.01.099 Motor block cart

(1) in section 3.01.001 (3), (5) and (8) and section 3.01.010 (2)-(8) set out provisions on permissible axle load and total weight does not apply to motor powered flatbed truck.

3.01.100 trailer

3.01.150 trailer for motorcycle

(1) Permitted gross vehicle weight must not exceed 150 kg.

(2) Motorcycle manufacturer's Declaration on the technically permissible maximum laden weight of trailer, see. section 3.01.200 (2) (a)), may be replaced by a declaration by the manufacturer of the coupling device.

This statement must include the motorcycle.

3.01.199 flatbed truck

(1) in section 3.01.001 (3)-(5), (7) and (8) and paragraph 3.01.100 indicated regulations on permissible axle load and total weight are not applicable for flatbed truck.

3.01.200 Combination (1) Actual total weight must not exceed: (a)) 48000 kg for vehicle combinations consisting of car and registration-only trailer.



b) 44000 kg for other vehicle combinations.

(2) in the combination must trailer permissible laden weight does not exceed: (a)) by the manufacturer of the towing vehicle, guaranteed technical permissible and



(b)) by the manufacturer of the coupling device guaranteed, technical permissible.

(3) in the combination of vehicles where the tractor vehicle is a car with a maximum permissible weight not exceeding

3500 kg, maximum permissible trailer weight must – for semi-trailer and trailer with rigid drawbar total axle load – do not exceed: (a)) 50% of the towing vehicle's service weight, if the trailer is not equipped with a service braking system,



(b)) the towing vehicle's permissible maximum weight, if the trailer is fitted with a service braking system, and



c) 1.5 times the towing vehicle's permissible maximum weight if the car is all-terrain, and the trailer is fitted with a service braking system. Permitted gross vehicle weight of the trailer respectively total axle load shall not exceed 3500 kg.

(4) in combination with the registration-only trailer, where the towing vehicle is a car with a maximum authorized mass exceeding 3500 kg, maximum permissible trailer weight must – for semi-trailer and trailer with rigid drawbar total axle load – not exceed 1.5 times the towing vehicle's permissible maximum weight.

(5) in combination with the registration-only trailer towed by a car with a maximum authorized mass exceeding 3500 kg or of a tractor, at maximum authorized weight at least 20% of which rest on the towing vehicle's drive wheels. This provision can be considered fulfilled in respect of cars fitted with bogie with one driving axle and ' retractable axle bogies, if aflastbar/driving axle permissible axle load is at least 20% of the permissible total weight.

(6) Blokvognstog must meet the provision in paragraph (2).

(7) in combination with non-registration-only outboard tool where the towing vehicle is a car with a maximum authorized mass exceeding 3500 kg påhængsredska-bets must weight – for towing instrument with rigid drawbar total axle load – do not exceed the towing vehicle actual laden weight, except outboard gear is fitted with a service braking system.

3.01.310 Vehicle to synsfri linkage

(1) For the vehicle used in accordance with the rules for synsfri interconnection, in subparagraph 3.01.200, paragraph (2)-(4) set out rules with the use of actual total weight or axle load of the trailer actually.

3.01.320 School vehicle

(1) School vehicle shall comply with the provisions of annex 5 to the Justice Ministry's Decree on driving licences.

3.02 the height, width and length



3.02.001 General provisions (1) a vehicle must not have greater height than the height measured vertically from 4.00 m. level roadway for the part that protrudes top up, but with the exception of – antennas,



-pantographs or trolley booms in the raised position.

For vehicle with ' retractable axle bogie shall be measured with the shaft in the position that gives the greatest height.

– devices for fastening of tarpaulin and these devices protection (shielding),

(3) a vehicle with a temperature-controlled building must have a width of up to 2.60 metres.

By temperature-controlled building means a fixed or demountable building, specially designed for the carriage of goods at controlled temperatures and whose side walls, inclusive of insulation thickness of at least 45 mm.

Section 3.02.200 (4) shall apply mutatis mutandis to vehicles with temperature-controlled building.

(4) in the case of a motor vehicle or trailer work tool for agricultural or road works can the width of both the towing vehicle with the trailer exceed 2.55 m. Width, however, should only exceed 3.30 m, where it runs between arable and home farm, between properties that have device in common ownership, or between a contractor and its customers.

(5) the length of a vehicle or combination of vehicles shall be measured over the parts that protrude farthest forward or backward, but with the exception of – windscreen wipers and washers,



– labelling sheets (signs) front and rear,



— Customs sealing devices and their protection (shielding),



– device for fastening of tarpaulin and their protection (shielding),



– the lamps and reflectors,



-mirrors and other devices for indirect vision,



– Visual help,



– air intake,



– length stop for detachable building,



– stepping stone and hand grip,



– rubber shock horn and similar equipment,
– loading tailgate, access ramps and similar equipment in running order, provided that udragningen does not exceed 0.30 m, and the vehicle load capacity does not increase,



– coupling device on the towing vehicle



– trolley booms of electrically-powered vehicles, and



-external sun visors.

3.02.099 Motor block cart

3.02.110 trailer/semitrailer to car

(1) of the semi-trailer must not exceed the length of the coupling) 12.00 m, whilst by measurement disregarding the parts mentioned in point 3.02.001 (5), and



(b)) the horizontal distance (radius) between the kingpin axis and any point on the front of the semi-trailer must not exceed 2.04 m, taking measurements not excluding any part.

For semi-trailer with two main provisions apply in the case of the front head bolts bolt.

(2) For the trailer must not exceed length 12.00 m.

(3) in the case of semi-trailers, the distance from the main bolt for bogie theoretical turning axle shall not exceed 8.15 m.

For semi-trailers with one or more axles counted with the distance from the main bolt to the solid axle, respective the middle between the fixed axles.

Of the semi-trailer, in which one or more axles are retractable, must also be fulfilled with determination lifted axle/axles.

For retractable semi-trailer must provision be fulfilled in the pushed position.

3.02.150 trailer for motorcycle

(1) the length must not exceed 2.50 m.

(2) the Bank shall not exceed 1.00 m.

3.02.199 flatbed truck

(1) the provisions of paragraph 3.02.001 does not apply to block car.

3.02.200 Combination

(1) the total length must not exceed (a)) 16.50 m for vehicle combinations consisting of car and semi-trailer.



18.75 m for other road train b).

(2) For the combination of vehicles consisting of a truck and trailer, shall apply: (a)) the greatest distance measured parallel to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle combinations from laddets front point behind the cab to the rear of the trailer must not exceed 16.40 m.



(b)) the greatest distance measured parallel to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle combinations from laddets front point behind the cab to the rear of the trailer, minus the distance between the car's rear end and front of trailer must not exceed 15.65 m. However, this does not apply to combination of vehicles specially designed for auto-transport.



(c)) the distance between the car's rear axle and trailer front axle must not be less than 3.00 m.

(3) the distance between the back edge of the towing vehicle and the cutting edge of let or building on the trailer or the registration-only outboard tool must not exceed 2.00 m. For non-registration-only outboard tool distance must not exceed 4.00 m.

(4) the registration-only trailer to the car cannot have a width that exceeds the towing vehicle's width by more than 0.35 m on each side.

(5) in the articulated vehicle with 5 or more axles to the distance between the car's rear axle and semi-trailer front axle must be at least: (a)) 2.50 m, however,



(b) if the semi-trailer is 3.00 m), have three axles, where any distance is less than 1.10 m and



c) 4.00 m for articulated vehicles with a maximum authorised weight of more than 44000 kg.

(6) Blokvognstog must meet the provision in paragraph (3).

3.02.310 Vehicle to synsfri linkage

(1) in the case of articulated vehicles, used in accordance with the rules of synsfri coupling, apply the test specified in paragraph 3.02.200 (5) (c)) indicated the determination of the use of the actual total weight.

4. Steering 4.01.001 General provisions (1) the steering equipment shall be so arranged, a) that the motor vehicle can be controlled easily, safely and quickly,



(b)) that it can withstand the stresses generated during normal driftsfor-team



(c)) to it at runtime is either self-righting or indifferent to all steering, and



(d)) that the vehicle can be controlled, even though any help control fails.

(2) the control device shall be easy to operate, and its direction must correspond to the intended change of direction of the vehicle.

(3) the wheelhouse shall be firmly attached to the load-bearing elements, and all collections in the steering equipment shall be properly secured.

(4) parts of the transmission between the control device and the steered wheels, and which is not protected by the solid parts of the vehicle, shall be located not less than 0.15 m above the ground.

(5) there must be no due to wear or similar occur significantly veils in the steering mechanism as a whole or in its individual parts.

4.01.002 ESC

(1) ESC (electronic stability system) is a system that can counteract the overturning and slipping by means of afbremsning of one or more wheels.

4.01.010 Motor vehicle

(1) Motor vehicle shall be equipped with steering mechanism with mechanical connection between the steering wheel control device.

(2) the steering mechanism may not work on the rear wheels only.

4.01.020 Car

(1) There shall be no mechanical connection to the wheels with additional management, where the car meets the provisions on additional management in EC Directive 70/311/EEC, as amended by the 1999/7/EC or ECE regulation 79-01.

(2) Car must be able to return within a turning circle with outer radius of 12.50 m and the inner radius of 5.30 m.

When measuring reverse curvature except for the parts mentioned in point 3.02.001 (2). For vehicle with ' retractable bogie axle is measured, together with the shaft lifted.

(3) When a car running tangentially into the circular referred to in paragraph (2), no part move outside the tangent by more than 0.60 m.

4.01.021 passenger car M1

(1) passenger car M1, which do not have preceding management, must be equipped with crash-proof steering, which complies with the provisions in one of the following sets of constructive: a) ECE regulation 12-03.



b) EC-Directive 74/297/EEC as amended by 91/662/EEC.



c) American standard FMVSS 203 and 204 FMVSS.



4.01.023 ¤ Car M3 (1) passenger car M3 with a maximum authorized weight of 12000 kg or more shall be fitted with ESC. This provision does not apply to bus, approved with standing room.

4.01.024 Van N1

(1) Van N1 with a maximum permissible weight not exceeding 2,000 kg shall comply with the provisions of collision-proof Steering in section 4.01.021 (1).

4.01.031 Two-wheel motorcycle

(1) ¤-steering mechanism must be so arranged: a) to fully control the scale is less than 25 ° to each side, and



(b)) that at any steering is enough space for the driver's hands.

(2) For handlebar applies a) width must be more than 0.55 m,



(b)) to handle must not be located lower than the driver's seat seating surface and not higher than 0.30 m or more, and



(c)) that the regime must be attached directly to the fork.

4.01.032 Two-wheel motorcycle with sidecar

(1) Two-wheel motorcycle with sidecar, follow the rules for two-wheel motorcycle.

4.01.033 Three-wheel motorcycle

(1) Three-wheel motorcycle with a front wheel follows the rules for two-wheel motorcycle.

(2) Three-wheel motorcycle with two front wheels follow the rules for car.

4.01.041 Great moped

(1) For registration person moped including rules for motorcycle.

4.01.042 Small moped

(1) For handlebar applies, (a)) to the width of the person and item moped must be more than 0.50 m,



(b)) to handle must not be located lower than the seat seating surface and not higher than 0.30 m or more, and



(c)) that the regime must be attached directly to the fork.



4.01.050 Tractor (1) Tractor can be fitted with a steering mechanism that works (a)) on the front wheels only,



(b) on the rear wheels only) or



c) simultaneously on the front and rear wheels.

(2) Tractor can be equipped with steering with hydraulic transmission between the control device and the steered wheels.
(3) the tractor can be fitted with a steering mechanism with electrical transmission between the control device and the steering mechanism, provided that the system is a two-circuit system.

4.01.060 Motor tool

(1) Motor tool follows the rules of tractor.

4.01.099 Motor block cart

(1) Motor block cart with a maximum speed of 30 km/h or less follows the rules of tractor.

(2) Other motor block cart follows the rules for car. Motor block wagon does not meet item 4.01.020 (2) on the turning circle.

4.01.100 trailer

(1) trailers with self-tracking axle shall comply with the provisions on variations of broiling in the EC Directive 70/311/EEC, as amended by the 1999/7/EC or ECE regulation 79-01.

(2) trailer and outboard tool must be equipped with steering, if the distance between the front and rear axle exceeds 2.58 m. Such steering to work on the front axle.

(3) a semi-trailer can be equipped with mechanically activated steering axle/axles.

(4) a semi-trailer can be equipped with hydraulically activated, automatically-acting steering axle/axles. The following provisions must be complied with: a) the steering mechanism must comply with the provisions of Council directive no constructive. 70/311/EEC as amended by Directive No. 92/62/EEC or ECE Regulation No 2377/90. 79-01.



b) Red control lamp for the pressure drop in the hydraulic system shall be provided by the driving position in the towing truck or at the front-left corner of the semi-trailer, located at such height and with such intensity, that it is clearly visible in the truck's left side mirror. The indicator or an equivalent control lamp must also turn on if not all valves stand correctly for locked or automatic control.



(c)) shall be provided a system (with control lamps etc.) that enables exact manual indjustering of the shafts for gears.



d) System to additional, manual steering from the outside is allowed only if the system can be operated by a cutting, which is at the rear of the semi-trailer.



e) System for additional, manual steering from the driving position is allowed for non retractable articulated vehicle, see. However, section 4.01.310 (2). Wagon train must be equipped with a system that effectively prevents the wagon train technically runs faster than 10 km/h, when the system is made possible manual steering.

4.01.199 flatbed truck

5. Brakes 5.01 Brake systems



5.01.001 General provisions (1) the braking system must be so designed that the behavior remains satisfactory safety under normal conditions of use and by the including performers vibrations etc.

5.01.006 Bakbremse

(1) Bakbremse is a system that automatically slows the vehicle by means of the operating or parking brake when a) the vehicle is put into reverse, and

5.01.010 Motor vehicle

5.01.020 Car

(1) Car must be equipped with a service brake, emergency brake and parking brake.

(2) passenger car M2 can be fitted with bakbremse.

5.01.023 passenger car M3

(1) passenger car M3 shall be equipped with anti-lock braking system of category 1.

(2) passenger car M3 may be fitted with bakbremse.

5.01.024 Van N1

(1) Van N1 shall meet the system requirements for passenger car M1.

5.01.025 Lorry N2

(1) Truck N2 shall be equipped with anti-lock braking system of category 1.

(2) Truck N2, authorised to tow a trailer/semitrailer O3 and O4 with compressed-air braking systems, shall be provided with two-wire brake connection. Maximum pressure in the supply line shall not be less than 7.0 bar and not more than 8.5 bar, and the biggest pressure in the control line shall not be less than 6.5 bar and not more than 8.5 bar.

(3) Truck N2 must not be fitted with a device capable of afbremse the trailer alone (sway brake).

(4) all-terrain truck N2 should not have self adjusting brakes.

(5) Truck N2 can be equipped with bakbremse.

5.01.026 Lorry N3

(1) Truck N3 must meet the system requirements for truck N2.

(2) Truck N3 can be equipped with bakbremse.

5.01.031 Two-wheel motorcycle

(1) Two-wheel motorcycle shall be equipped with a service braking system, divided into two independent braking systems, which at least works on each of its wheels.

(2) relating to the braking systems, the following shall apply: (a) controls) brake must be hand-operated with the handle positioned on the right side of the regime.



(b)) On motorcycles with automatic clutch rear brake can be hand operated with the handle positioned on the left side of the regime.



c) Rear brake can be combined with front-wheel brakes.

5.01.032 Two-wheel motorcycle with sidecar

(1) Two-wheel motorcycle with side-car must be fitted with a service braking system, divided into two independent braking systems, which at least works on each of its wheels on the motorcycle.

(2) the service braking effect must not be distributed symmetrically in relation to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle.

(3) Two-wheel motorcycle with sidecar, which also accepted with trailer, shall also be fitted with a brake on the sidecar wheel.

5.01.033 Three-wheel motorcycle

(1) Three-wheel motorcycle must meet the system requirements for the car.

5.01.041 Great moped

5.01.042 Small moped

(2) Motor block cart with a permitted maximum speed of 45 km/h must meet the system requirements for car, apart from the requirement for anti-lock brakes.

(3) Motor block cart with a permitted maximum speed of 60 km/h must meet the system requirements for car and shall be equipped with anti-lock braking system of category 1.

5.01.110 trailer/semitrailer to car

(1) the trailer/semitrailer to the car must be fitted with a service brake and parking brake.

(2) the service braking system shall act on all the wheels of the vehicle.

(3) the service braking system shall be so arranged that the vehicle automatically slowed down in the event of breakage of the coupling device between car and trailer/semitrailer. Of inertia brakes, this can be done by a detonating wire.

(4) the service brake of semi-trailer must be connected to the towing vehicle's operating-brake.

(5) the wear of the service brake coating should be easy to verify from the outside or underside of the vehicle using only the tools or equipment normally supplied with the vehicle. Control can be done by means of appropriate inspection openings or otherwise.

5.01.111 trailer/semitrailer O1

(1) the trailer/semitrailer O1 need not be fitted with brakes.

(2) If the trailer/semitrailer O1 is equipped with brakes, they must meet the system requirements for brakes on trailer/semitrailer O2.

5.01.112 trailer/semitrailer O2

(1) service brake on trailer O2 must (a) be connected to the towing vehicle's) service brake, or



(b)) be an inertia brakes.

(2) the provision in section 5.01.110 (3) must not be fulfilled for trailer O2, with one axle or two axles with a distance of less than 1.00 m, where (a)) the permissible maximum weight does not exceed 1500 kg, and



(b)) which, in addition to the coupling device between car and trailer, also found an additional mechanical connection, which can take the form of a chain or a wire, which, in the event that the linkage separated, prevents the trailer drawbar touches the ground, and which can maintain a degree of control of the trailer.

5.01.113 trailer/semitrailer O3

5.01.114 trailer/semitrailer O4

(1) the trailer/semitrailer O4 must meet the system requirements for trailer/semitrailer O3.

(2) trailer/semitrailer O4, which alone is approved in fixed or variable combination, can be equipped with bakbremse.

5.01.120 Tractor trailer,

(1) Tractor trailer, must be fitted with a service braking system, see. However, paragraph (2). The service brake (a)) to work on at least one axle, and



(b)) must be connected to the tractor operating brake or be an inertia brakes.

(2) at least 50% of the wagon train's actual total weight should rest on the braked wheels. If these can consist only of the constricts the wheels on the towing vehicle with the wheels on a possible second constricts the trailer in the vehicle combination must not have the trailer brakes.

5.01.130 trailer, motor tool

(1) trailer, motor instrument must meet the system requirements for tractor trailer,.

5.01.141 caravan

(1) the caravan must meet the system requirements for trailer/semitrailer to the car.

5.01.142 Second registration-only outboard tool

(1) the second registration-only outboard tool must meet the system requirements for trailer/semitrailer to the car.

5.01.143 non-registration-only outboard tool

(1) non-registration-only outboard tool must meet the system requirements for tractor trailer,.

5.01.150 trailer for motorcycle

(1) if the trailer for the motorcycle is fitted with a service braking system, should this be an inertia brakes.

5.01.199 flatbed truck

(1) flatbed truck shall be equipped with service brake and parking brake.

(2) Block cart with a permitted maximum speed of 30 km/h must meet the system requirements for tractor trailer,.

(3) Block cart with a permitted maximum speed of 45 km/h must meet the system requirements for trailer/semitrailer to the car, with the exception of the requirement for anti-lock brakes.

(4) Block cart with a permitted maximum speed of 60 km/h must meet the system requirements for trailer/semitrailer to the car.

5.01.200 Combination

(1) in combination with two trailers, one of which is fitted with inertia brakes, and the other is not fitted with brakes, trailer without brakes coupled to the back.

5.01.310 Vehicle to synsfri linkage

(1) Car for synsfri interconnection with trailer with a maximum authorized weight exceeding 3500 kg by coupling device must be equipped with fittings for connection of detonating wire for automatic braking of the trailer. The bracket must not be placed on any detachable part of the coupling device.

(2) is the trailer with a maximum authorized weight exceeding 3500 kg fitted with operating-brake, this must be arranged as inertia brakes with mechanical or hydraulic transmission, and be provided with detonating wire for automatic braking.

(3) the trailer/semitrailer O3 and O4 and registration-only outboard tool on chassis for such trailers shall be equipped with air brakes.

(4) Truck for synsfri interconnection with trailer/semi-trailer O3 or O4 and outboard tool on chassis for such trailers must be fitted with control lamp and socket for trailer anti-lock braking system in accordance with IS0 7638.
(5) Truck for synsfri interconnection with trailer/semi-trailer O3 or O4 or outboard tool on chassis for such trailers shall be equipped with two-wire brake connection. Maximum pressure in the supply line shall not be less than 7.0 bar and not more than 8.5 bar, and the biggest pressure in the control line shall not be less than 6.5 bar and not more than 8.5 bar.

5.01.320 School vehicle

(1) School vehicle shall comply with the provisions of annex 5 to the Justice Ministry's Decree on driving licences.

5.01.361 Disability vehicle

(1) Disability vehicle with hand-operated service brake shall not comply with the provision in

5.01.010 (1) (a)).

5.01.410 Vehicle for the transport of dangerous goods

(1) trailer to the car for the transport of dangerous goods in tank must be fitted with a service braking system which is connected to the towing vehicle's service braking system.

5.02 Brake components 5.02.001 General provisions (1) in the operational braking systems, where the wear of brake linings do not result in increased migration of the control device, a) must the available shoe centre lift (Sb) be at least Sb = 1.2 + 0.002 • (d) mm,

for self-adjusting brakes, however, at least

SB = 0.85 (1.2 + 0.002 • d) mm,

where d is the brake drum internal diameter, or (b)) should the service braking system meet the requirements of type II fadingprøven of Council Directive No. 71/320/EEC (annex II, point 1.4).

Other operational braking systems must know the required deceleration at most take advantage of 2/3 of control possible hiking.

5.02.002 hydraulic power plant

(1) hydraulic components must be tight.

(3) air tanks must be fitted with devices without the use of tools allows for the drainage of condensation water. This shall not, however, apply to containers on vehicles equipped with an air dryer in compressed air plant.

(4) compressed air plants shall, in addition to with pressure control device, be provided with an appropriate set safety valve connected close to the compressor.

5.02.004 inertia (overrun) brakes

(1) the control event must have a short-lived inertia force, before the brake is activated on at least 2% of the total weight of the trailer.

5.02.005 spring brakes

(1) the spring brakes shall not be used in a service braking system.

5.02.006 marking of ALB
