Annuntation of remuneration and pension, etc. for the Danish Members of the European Parliament

Under Section 4, in the law on remuneration and pensions, etc. for the Danish Members of the European Parliament, cf. Law Order no. 255 of 19. In March 2004, the following shall be :

§ 1. From the date of entry into force of the Statute of MEPs, cf. Decision of the European Parliament of 28 On September 2005 (2005/684/EC, Euratom), Section 1 of the Law on remuneration and pension, etc. for the Danish Members of the European Parliament shall apply only to members who, pursuant to Article 25 of the Statute, have chosen to be covered by the existing national system ; during the entire term of office.

§ 2. From the date of entry into force of the Statute of Members of the European Parliament, section 2 of the Danish Members of the European Parliament shall apply only to members who, pursuant to Article 25 of the Statute, have been elected ; covered by the existing national system throughout the term of office, and for members who will be appointed by the European Parliament in 2009, and which are eligible for compensation.

§ 3. Since the date of entry into force of the Statute of Members of the European Parliament, section 3 of the Act on remuneration and pension, etc. for the Danish Members of the European Parliament only benefits from the pension rights that are earned up to the time of the status of the Statute ; entry into force and pension rights earned by members who, pursuant to Article 25 of the Statute, have opted to be covered by the existing national system throughout the term of office of the Statute.

§ 4. The Finance Minister may conclude an agreement with the European Parliament on the transfer of earned pension rights from the Danish State to the European Parliament, cf. Article 28 (1). Two, in the Statute for Members of the European Parliament.

§ 5. The announcement will enter into force on the 14th. July 2009, which is the first day of the European Parliament, which starts in 2009.
