Ordinance amending Ordinance of asbest1)

§ 1

In executive order No. 1502 by 21. December 2004 on asbestos shall be amended as follows:

1. Article 3 is replaced by the following: ' 3. It is prohibited to manufacture, import, place on the market, use or work with asbestos or asbestos-containing materials in any form, see. However, paragraph 2-3.

(2). So far it is permissible to manufacture, import and use chrysotilholdige diaphragms for existing electrolysis installations. For the manufacture and import are applicable in addition to the specific conditions, as specified in annex 1.

(3). Buildings, facilities, technical AIDS, etc., that contain asbestos or asbestos-containing materials, and which have legally been able to be placed on the market in its entirety in Denmark up to 1. January 2005 may continue to be lawfully placed on the market in its entirety in Denmark, if





asbestos or asbestos-containing materials) 1 is legally installed in the building, plant, the technical aid etc., and

2) building, the facility, the technical aid etc. is taken into use before 1. January 2005.





(4). Demolition work as well as work with the repair and maintenance of buildings, installations, technical AIDS, etc., which used asbestos-containing materials are allowed. Repair can be made with materials that can legally be used in accordance with paragraph 2. '

§ 2

The notice shall enter into force on 12 December. May 2009.
The Labour Inspectorate, the 28. April 2009 Lis Gamborg/Sonja Ploug Jensen Official notes 1) of the order are included certain provisions from the European Parliament and of the Council Regulation No 40/94. 1907/2006 of 18. December 2006 concerning the registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction of chemicals (REACH), etc.
