Executive order authorizing the independent work as a chiropractor
Under section 53, paragraph 3, of the law on approval of health professionals and health professional activity, see. lovbekendtgørelse nr. 1350 of 17. December 2008, shall be established under the authority of the Minister for health and prevention:
§ 1. In order to obtain authorisation to independently work as a chiropractor to be a chiropractor have completed an additional practical training (shiftwork) in Denmark or a practical training by the National Board of health may be equated with it.
§ 2. The purpose of the training service is to train and develop the kiropraktorens clinical experience in order that this independent, experienced and responsible manner to discharge diagnosis, prevention and treatment within the chiropractic business area on a level that corresponds to generally recognised professional standard. Recruitment must ensure a broad insight into the workflows and routines that relate to chiropractic business.
The structure and content of training course
§ 3. Rotation service have a duration equivalent to 1 year of full-time employment and must be carried out by employment with a chiropractor (tutor) with permission to work independently and with approval as tutor, see. § 5.
(2). The chiropractor has responsibility for obtaining the necessary recruitment.
(3). Recruitment of less than 3 months ' duration may not be part of the rotation service.
(4). Rotation service takes place in a chiropractic practice. The National Board of health may, in exceptional cases, approve that part of the rotation service implemented by other employment in health care.
§ 4. Rotation service consists of a clinical part and a theoretical part. The clinical part is carried out by the recruitment of chiropractor practice and organised on the basis of statements and a training program where turnuskandidaten increasingly carries out independent functions.
(2). The content of the theoretical part as well as statements and guides for the clinical portion of content and evaluation be approved by the health protection agency, upon a proposal from the Board of education pursuant to § 8 discount.
(3). As part of education reviewed the rules on kiropraktorers business area including rules on kiropraktorers rights and duties.
§ 5. A tutor to practise for the public health insurance and have practiced for at least 3 years.
(2). Tutor must be approved by the National Board of health. Authentication is done on the recommendation of the Education Council. Approval may be given for a period of up to 5 years at a time.
(3). Tutor must together with the chiropractor organise a training program that meets the purpose of rotation service, see. § 2.
(4). Tutor must attend a course, targeted the Office of tutor. The course is organised by the Education Council and approved by the health protection agency.
(5). Tutor is obliged to provide documentation for tenure and the progress of recruitment.
§ 6. Rotation service must take place within a physical environment that is in accordance with generally accepted contemporary Danish chiropractor standard. There must be x-ray facilities.
§ 7. Tutor practice must have a patient base, there are appropriate differentiated and of reasonable size, so that the practice has a chiropractor practice representative training basis.
Board of education
§ 8. The National Board of health shall establish a Board of education on 6 members, appointed for a period of 5 years with the possibility of genudpegning. The Council has the following composition:
– 1 member appointed by the National Board of health
– 1 member appointed by the Danish regions,
– 1 member appointed by the regional Board for wages and tariffs
– 1 member appointed by the University of southern Denmark (SDU)
– 1 member appointed by the Nordic Institute for Chiropractic and Clinical Biomechanics (NIKKB)
– 1 member appointed by the Danish Chiropractic Association (DKF)
Danish Chiropractic Association carries out the task as a secretariat for the Council. A Committee (Committee of the rotation) carries out the practical tasks associated with the Organization and implementation of training service.
§ 9. Educational Advisory Council is opposite the Health Agency in questions about the rotation service, including whether any adjustments to the training content.
(2). Education Council set to Board of Health's approval:
– statements and guidance on requirements for rotation candidate and tutor, including on the evaluation of the course,
– the theoretical training programme,
– content and extent of course for tutors,
– individual tutors.
Application and documentation
§ 10. Permit for autonomous work as a chiropractor issued by the National Board of health upon the recommendation of the Education Council.
(2). Application for authorisation to independently work with the appropriate documentation, are submitted to the Education Council. The chiropractor will have to procure the necessary documentation with tutor for tenure and gradients.
§ 11. Foreign trained chiropractors, that meets the requirements of the agreement on the common Nordic labour market for certain personnel groups within the health service, etc. authorization for independent work as a chiropractor by the health protection agency.
Date of entry into force of
§ 12. The notice shall enter into force on the 1. August 2009 and is applicable for additional practical training courses that commence after this date. At the same time repealed Executive Order No. 883 of 20. September 2005 on additional practical training and guidance kiropraktorers nr. 88 of 17. October 2005 on additional practical training kiropraktorers (shiftwork).
