In this way, the law of preventive home visits to the elderly and so forth shall be announced, cf. law no. 1117 of 20. In December 1995, with the changes resulting from paragraph 1 of Law No 1. 299 of 27. April 2005, section 12 of Law No 1584 of 20. In December 2006 and paragraph 1 law no. 435 of 29. May 2008.
§ 1. The city council has to offer preventive home visits to all citizens who are 75 years old and who live in the municipality.
Paragraph 2. The city council is organising the visits as needed, and the citizen is always entitled to offer at least two annual preventive visits.
Paragraph 3. The local authority authorities may choose to exempt the citizens from the scheme which receives both personal and practical help after Article 83 of the Social Services Act.
§ 2. The Minister for the Internal Affairs and Social Affairs, in cooperation with the Health Minister, can lay down rules on the local authorities under this law, including on coordination with other general municipal preventive and enabling measures.
§ 3. The law shall enter into force on 1. July 1996.
Paragraph 2. During the period up to 1. However, the municipal management board shall, however, only have a duty to offer a home visit to all 80 years and more.
§ 4. The law does not apply to the Faroe Islands and Greenland.
