Decree on the implementation of the thematic coins
WE, MARGRETHE the SECOND, by the grace of God Queen of Denmark, do indeed:
Under section 2 (1) and (3) of law No. 817 of 21. December 1988, Coinage, and after negotiation with the Danmarks Nationalbank is determined:
§ 1. As part of a series of thematic coins with ships such as the motif reflected this coin to be broadcast in limited edition alongside the ordinary circulating coins.
(2). That reflected a coin denominated at 20 dollars of aluminum bronze (92 weight parts copper, 6% aluminum and 2 weight parts parts nickel) and of the following size and weight:
The coin should have the following characteristics:
1) on the front page:
Her Majesty the Queen's portrait in profile facing right surrounded by a ring. DENMARK'S QUEEN MARGRETHE II along the rim. Between II and DANISH are nested mint mark, a heart. At The Bottom: The Free Coinage Year.
2) on the back:
Lightship XVII encircled by a ring. Along the rim, at the top: LIGHTSHIP XVII, bottom: 20 KRONER.
3) Coin minted with interrupted rifling.
§ 2. This Decree shall enter into force on the 1. March 2009.
