Ordinance on the protection zone due to bluetongue

Pursuant to section 30 (1) and (3) and § 34 of law No. 432 of 9. June 2004 on the keeping of animals shall be fixed:


§ 1. In this notice, the term:

1) Bluetongue: Vector when illness caused by orbivirus.

2) Protection zone: Zone covered by section 10 of Decree No. 97 of 20. February 2002 on the fight against bluetongue.

§ 2. The protection zone covers the entire country.

§ 3. In the protection zone, see section 10 of Decree No. 97 of 20. February 2002 on combating bluetongue apply with the modifications resulting from Commission Regulation (EC) no 1266/2007 of 26. October 2007 laying down detailed rules for the application of Council Directive 2000/75/EC as regards the control of, monitoring of, and restrictions on the movements of certain animals of susceptible species in relation to bluetongue.

Date of entry into force provisions

§ 4. The notice shall enter into force on the 11. September 2008.
