on the agreement on cooperation in the field of culture, science and education between the Government of

The Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the Republic of Cyprus



16 December 2002. April 1971 in Prague signed a cooperation agreement in the field of

culture, science and education between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist

the Republic and the Government of the Republic of Cyprus.



According to article 9 of the Agreement entered into force on 1 January 2000. July 1971.



The Czech version of the agreement shall be published at the same time.

The AGREEMENT



on cooperation in the field of culture, science and education between the Government of

kept trying to extend the cultural cooperation between the two countries in the interest of

further development of mutual understanding between their peoples,



have agreed as follows:



Article 1



The Contracting Parties shall, under this agreement to develop cooperation in the field of

Science, education, art, literature, press, film, radio, television,

physical education and sport.



Article 2



The Contracting Parties shall encourage exchange visits and other contacts of scientists,

cultural and educational workers, artists, workers, bulk

the media and representatives of physical education and sport.



The Contracting Parties shall invite the competent representative of the other party to the

congresses, conferences, workshops and other expert meetings with international

Article 3



The Contracting Parties shall promote efforts for better cognition of civilization and

Article 4



The Contracting Parties shall grant nationals of the other party

scholarships for study and research on its scientific, educational and

cultural facilities and study stays and researches, including

short-term visits school personnel with the aim of familiarizing yourself with the

Article 5



The Contracting Parties shall, in accordance with their national legislation recognition of

Article 6



The Contracting Parties shall make efforts to deepen mutual relations on the other

section of physical education and sport, in particular by promoting

cooperation and the exchange of athletes, sports experts and sports

Article 7



The Contracting Parties shall, for the purposes of execution of this agreement to negotiate is always on

These implementation plans will be prepared and discussed in the Joint Commission,

composed of an equal number of members for each party. The Commission will

meet alternatively in Prague and Nicosia and at its meeting of the parties may

by mutual agreement between the parties through the diplomatic channel.



Article 8



The Contracting Parties shall, in their bilateral cooperation to continue, if it

Article 9



This agreement is subject to approval in accordance with the constitutional rules of each of the

Article 10



This agreement is concluded for a period of five years and will prolong the always on

months before the expiry date.



Drawn up in Prague on 16. April 1971 in two copies, each in the language

Czech and Greek, both texts being equally authentic.
