On 21 February 2006. March 1977 was signed in Hanoi an agreement on cultural

cooperation between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government

The Socialist Republic. Agreement entered into force in accordance with

Article 14 the date 5. May 1977.



The Czech version of the agreement shall be published at the same time.

in order to further consolidation and development of friendly and fraternal relations between the

Desiring to extend and implement cultural cooperation between the two

countries,



Noting that the agreement on cultural cooperation between the Czechoslovak

Republic and the Vietnamese Democratic Republic of 20 April. March

1957 has played an important role in the development of the friendship and cooperation of peoples

both States and contributed to the enrichment of their mutual relations in the field of culture,

education and science,



have decided to conclude this agreement:



Article 1



Both parties will develop and deepen cooperation in the field of culture,

art, science, education, press, film, radio, television, tourism and

physical education and sport.



Article 2



Both sides will facilitate cooperation and exchange of experience in the field

Article 3



In accordance with the Convention on the mutual recognition of the evidence of ekvivalentnosti

graduating from secondary, secondary vocational and higher education and also

documents granting the scientific ranks and titles, signed in Prague in the year

in 1972, the two parties will recognize the evidence of school achievements

Article 4



Both sides will assist in exploring the national cultures and arts of the second

Article 5



Both sides will promote cooperation and direct contacts between cultural

Article 6



The Contracting Parties shall promote cooperation between organizations of journalists,

editorial offices of newspapers, press agencies, radio and television

organizations to popularize and promote the achievements of other countries in the area of

politics, economics, culture, science and the results of the cooperation between the

Article 7



Both sides will assist the development of the relations between the central organisations

development of direct cooperation between the sports organisations of both countries.



Article 8



Both sides will promote the friendly cooperation in the field of culture

between the trade unions, women's organizations, youth and pioneers,

Article 9



Both sides will be in the interests of expanding and deepening friendly relations

the people of the two countries to promote the development of cooperation between organizations

dealing with tourism.



Article 10



Both parties will:



and) encourage cooperation between leading representatives of the cultural

institutions in socialist countries aimed at exchange of experience

resulting from the implementation of cultural policies in individual countries and on

the strengthening of bilateral or multilateral cooperation;



(b)) to coordinate the activities and to provide mutual assistance in international

organizations, cultural nature and consult each other on the preparation of and participation in the

international conferences, cultural character.



Article 11



The implementation of this agreement, both parties will negotiate on a two-year

or longer term plans of cultural cooperation, which will include the

Article 12



The date on which this agreement enters into force, of the expiry of the agreement on

cultural cooperation between the Czechoslovak Republic and the

Democratic Republic of 20 April. March 1957.



Article 13



This agreement is concluded for a period of five years and will prolong the always on

a further five years, unless one of the Contracting Parties denounces it six months

before the expiry of the relevant period of validity.



Article 14



This agreement is subject to approval by the national rules of the Contracting

Parties and shall enter into force on the date of exchange of notes about this approval.



Done at Hanoi on 21 February 2006. March 1977 in two copies, each in the language

Czech and Vietnamese languages, both texts being equally authentic.
