agreement on cultural cooperation between the Czechoslovak Socialist

Republic and the Republic of Mali



On 15 December. November 1960 in Prague a cultural agreement signed

cooperation between the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Republic of

Mali. Exchange of notes both sides entered the agreement according to article 10,

paragraph 1 enter into force on 1 January 2000. March 1961.



The Czech version of the agreement shall be published at the same time.

The agreement



on cultural cooperation between the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the

Republic Of Mali



The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of the Republic of Mali,

Desiring to develop cooperation in the field of culture, education, science and the arts

and thus contribute to the deepening and expansion of friendly relations between the peoples of the

both countries have decided to conclude this agreement and to this end have designated

their agents:

The Government Of The Republic Of Mali



Jean-Marie Koné, Minister,

due form, have agreed as follows:



Article 1



The Contracting Parties shall promote the cultural relations between the two countries and

contribute to the cultural values of the peoples of both countries and

the progress achieved in the field of culture, education, science and art.



Article 2



The Contracting Parties shall promote the marketing of music and cinematographic works,

organizing lectures, art and scientific exhibitions and publishing translations

major works of scientific and artistic literature of other countries.



Article 3



The Contracting Parties shall encourage the development of cooperation and exchange of experience

among the scientific, cultural, educational and health care, as well as

social organizations and institutions of both countries. For this purpose, will be

facilitate mutual learning paths University professors, teachers,

technical and vocational schools and other educational, scientific, and cultural workers.

Article 4



The Contracting Parties will allow for the provision of scholarships and other benefits

The Contracting Parties shall consider the question of mutual recognition of diplomas and the scientific

The Contracting Parties shall promote the teaching of the history and geography of the other country and

dissemination of knowledge of the other country for their schools and educational establishments.



Article 9



For the implementation of this agreement, the parties will negotiate always to a certain

the time period detailed plans of cultural cooperation, which will be

the principles and conditions laid down for carrying out cultural events.



Article 10



1. this agreement is subject to approval in accordance with the constitutional rules of each of the

the Contracting Parties and shall enter into force on the date of exchange of notes about this approval.



2. each Contracting Party may terminate the agreement in writing one year

in advance.



Done at Prague on 15. November 1960 in two copies, each in the

English and French languages, both texts being equally authentic.
