the vessel and the Centre of gravity shall be determined by tilting the attempt carried out in
accordance with Annex I to resolution IMO MSC/267 (85).
22.03.3 the applicant may by calculation method based on the loss of buoyancy
demonstrate that the buoyancy and stability of the vessel in case of flooding
reasonable. All calculations shall be carried out with an unlimited access slope
the vessel. Sufficient buoyancy and stability of the vessel in the event of
of flooding shall be proven with a cargo of that corresponding to the maximum
permissible draught of the vessel and are evenly distributed throughout all
bilge spaces at full loading of supplies and
fuel. The calculation for the case of non-uniform, no expense
do this for the most unfavourable loading condition. Calculation of stability
to be taken on board. To this end, it should be based on
mathematical calculation to demonstrate sufficient stability in intermediate stages is verified
flooding (25%, 50% and 75% of the final stage of flooding, and where appropriate,
immediately prior to the equilibrium position), and the cross in the final
stages of flooding for the loading conditions listed above.
22.03.4 for the disturbed State is taken into account are:
the extent of damage to the side)
longitudinal: at least 0.10 L,
transverse extent: 0.59 m,
vertical: from the bottom upwards without limit.

longitudinal: at least 0.10 L,
transverse extent: 3.00 m
vertical: from the base 0.39 m upwards, except the sump.
(c)) all bulkheads in the damaged area shall be considered as damaged, which
indicates that the partition must be selected so that the vessel was able to

the end bulkheads of the engine room shall be deemed intact.
When dna damage are considered adjacent athwartship compartments shall also

d) Permeability
Permeability is assumed to be 95%.
If the calculation shows that the average permeability of the Department
is less than 95%, the calculated value may be used.
The values applied shall not be less than

(e) calculation of the effect of free surface) in damages must be left
based on the gross surface area of damaged compartments.
22.03.5 for all the intermediate stages of flooding referred to in Chapter 22.03.3 shall
be fulfilled the following criteria:
and tilt angle PHI) at the equilibrium position of the intermediate stages of flooding
must not be greater than 15 ° (5 ° in the case of non-secured containers);
(b)) above the tilt in the equilibrium position of the intermediate stages of flooding shall

righting lever GZ = > 0.02 m (0.03 m in the case of unsecured
containers) until the immersion of the first unprotected opening or
until the heeling angle PHI 27 ° (15 ° in the case of unsecured
containers);
(c)) non-watertight openings shall not be immersed until it was achieved
the tilt in the equilibrium position of the intermediate stages of flooding.
